If you have trouble hitting, try using any of these:

  • /aim(can be stacked up to three times)

  • A rifle experimented for accuracy just to land some states(an E-11 or DXR-6b is good for this)

  • Accuracy enhancing food

The first shot you want to land against the stackers is Flushingshot(Or Flushingshot 2). Thisshould inflict the Stun state and make them much easier to hit. After that, switch to your best rifle(T-21, DXR-6b, Jawa Ion Rifle are usually your best bets) depending on their resists- you shouldn't have much trouble after that.

A laser rifle will work here too if you have a good weaponsmith, but you really can't beat a DXR-6b when it comes to accuracy. For the most part, theDXR-6bs are extremely accuracte by default (compared to other weapons) without a smith even trying to focus on accuracy. The DXR-6b's I make (without even trying to focus on accuracy other than adding an advanced scope) are +118 accuracy at ideal range.

if you ask me, the best way to beat the stackers, is just to stack yourself ^^ Makes the odds even! I actually find this makes PVP play much more fun - as even one on one PVP battles last quite a long time and require more long time strategy plays. Buffed defence stacked pvp = even better ^^

atm i have maxxed ranged and melee defence, max ranged and melee mitigation, VERY high defences versus all status alignments, and maxxed dodge ( for fencer ) thats Master Rifleman Master Fencer Pistoleer 1040 TKA 0001 ( the TKA is mainly for meditate - I hate poison / disease ^^ )

Also I use a 4.5 ( ap2 ) disruptor 732 max dmg , and wear a full suit of 80/70 comp, all enc sliced 30%+ , with the exception of the chestplate, legs and head, which have stun layers and are effect sliced ( again 30%+ )

Of course -even as ahuman with maxxed mind ( 1000 1000 1000 ) - I still need good buffs, and two shots of BE brandy to be able to fight without killing myself in 3 seconds flat ^^ Still - its a lot of fun - and ive not been beat in PVP since completing my template - even against those defence stacking TKA / Fencer types ^^

Just so you know Xaverrijade, you can stack as many intimidates as you want on a creature or player. Just add 20 seconds of intimidate time on every time one sticks.

I use this alot in straight duels. Start off with a warcry and then go imediatly to stacking 10 intimidates for the 10 seconds they are delayed since you cannot attack them or the warcry stops working. I ran into a defense stacker fencer who wanted to duel and after the first minute it was apparent the battle was going to take a while. I decided to just stack 20 intimidates since he wasn't hurting me that bad, stun and dizzy him with my e-11 and then switched to the T-21 for some dmg since he had stun layered and maybe a shield. He was intimidated for the whole duel and even after I healed him and let him up. The duel lasted at least3 minutes because of his defense and armor and his lack of an ackley stun batton.

From what I have seen and experienced, intimidate seems to lower the dodge, counterattack, block defense stat while stun lowers the ranged/melee defense. I have no hard proof on that, just a hunch.

So recap for the original poster, intimidate does stack and lower defense somewhat on top of the 50% dmg reduction, so use it in battle. Stun will still be your first shot as a rifleman since it lowers defense by a lot more, or maybe dizzy followed by a stun so they can't burst run, but if you have the brawler skills I would use them, they work pretty good. Use special made rifles that are experimented for accuracy and not dmg and add accuracy power ups to the weapon. Aim as a last resort if you are still missing, and if you still miss with all that and aiming, run your ass off because you are going to lose .

Hey, a WS!

Just curious- what happens when you do try to focus on accuracy? How high ya think you can go?

Also a rifleman.

I never tried it (since cubes are always in short supply for me), but I'm sure I could get to +135 accuracy fairly easily at the cost of some damage and speed (I'm only talking about a few damage points and maybe .2 speed) . I could probably get to +150 accuracy at the cost of fairly significant damage/speed to the weapon. But if you're using it just to stick states, it would matter as much.

Standard weaponsmith disclaimer: Resources on your server may be different, so ws's there might have somewhat different results.

I fought whatI believed to be a defence stacker last night. Out of about 25 shots (all hs3) about 3 hit and hit for extremely low points. How do you combat this? It seemed like nothing was getting through. Comments?

Riflemen have collected all the no talent ass hats all in one profession. Yes it is true MOST riflemen have degraded to this.

I just wear a stun helmet now adays, with a tusken robe. I still get shot in the head. ROFL

The rifle nerf is comming, well the big nerf is comming....so i would suggest try some other shots or perhaps go back to crafting.

CM pwns def stacker. But CM is also teh lame.

Accuracy food is your best bet. Get some accuracy tapes/plates, use a DXR6-B, go for the stun to win. Stuns cut def stacking in half I think.
