I'm a Master Marksman and I'm working on leveling up to be a Master Rifleman now. I am keeping Master Marksman because of the improved speed, and accuracy (and there's one I'm forgetting...damage maybe?)stats that having Master Marksan gives you. At first you may think that +10 (or is it +5?) in speed doesn't make a big difference, but you'd be dead wrong! As for Ranged Support I have it only because I wanted Master Marksman, but I have found it to be somewhat useful in the field. It does nothing for PVP, but Warning Shot can be quite useful in PVE to cause some creatures to flee from you. All in all it boils down to how you play the game and what style of a Rifleman you are.

i had ranged4 for pvp purposes, mostly for the supression fire. but i got rid of it and picked up novice brawler for the ability to intimidate. i would say that intimidate is better than all teh ranged 1-4 specials combined

You can use supression fire 1 from Ranged Support IV + Flurry Shot to act as a Dizzy+KD on NPC targets. Plus on creatures supression fire can be used to keep your target at range for a longer period of time.

I was just wondering, but does anyone use the Ranged Support line in marksman for Master Rifle? Besides getting Master Marksman? I know some of the shots can help but was wondering how much do they help in PvE? I know Warning and Threaten can be helpful but at Master Rifle, whats the benefit?

At Master rifleman most of these shots mean nothing.. At least to me. I might use supression fire If I'm in a long PVP fight, otherwise. most everyhting else you are fighting will be dead before it can reach you, if not you need some backup as a group, or are buffed. I dont use warning shot or threaten shot anymore. forgot they were there to lol. At master you Have 160 rifle Accuracy, so the general ranged aming does practicly nothing.. its up to you. but I'm going to be dropping it soon. Need the SP for Teras Kasi Defenses.

This does work but with one minor change. The knockdown effect does not come into effect unless they try to stand. Forced positional changes do not activate the dizzy effect and combat equilibrium will usually stand the person up without causing the dizzy to take effect. ie: don't expect it to work well on tk's and don't expect the dizzyto stick to fencer/pistoleers

In PvE, NPC's will only flop if:
1. They have a dizzy state
2. Theyattempt to go from stand to prone or
3: They attempt to go from prone to stand
It does not work if a kneeling position is involved.
Nevertheless, I have suppression fire and warning shot, and cannot bring myself to give it up. If you enjoy fighting things like Ancient Bull Rancors, warning shot is simply irreplaceable. These shots will probably become more popular after the combat rebalance, when armor and buffs get nerfed.

Just a question, how do you get warning shot to stick? By the time I notice it has stuck on a creature my next shot is off... Especially now that i have master rifle?

Hit peace right after the warnig shot, if it doesnt run, do it again. Personally I dont use it when I level rifleman. (I have many toons) I shoot the lair with flushing shot 2, and the creatures run back to heal it and I kill them.

Warning shot is a great special that's not so easy to use. There is some luck involved in knowing when to hit peace. The best thing about warning shot is that after a short while the animal gets tired and moves at a snail's pace...it's how I leveled rifleman, back before there were buffs. It works great on berserk khammuras. Today, leveling rifleman is a joke with buffs and composite.

I dropped it months ago and haven't missed it. I kept the first box for /aim, but I wasn't getting much benefit from any of the other skills it was providing.
