Is it just me or is the lase rifle completely useless? I mean the damage variance is so huge that you are just as likely to hit for 100 as you are for 1300. No thanks, I need RELIABLE damage, even if its lower. I think the E11 is a far superior weapon.

I agree, I wont be getting the laser rifle, becuase of its un reliable damage. Especially for PvP, if a 100 dmg shot coems off instead of a 1300, the fight is pretty much over for me.

I don't know..I love my laser rifle. Just depends on the person I guess. A conservative vs. A risk taker. But hitting for 2400 mind is nice. I do agree that in the long run it might be better to choose a more reliable gun for PvP. I mean even a shot for only 700 mind willincap many people instantlyin PvP.

And how is an E11 "far" superior? Just curious.

it is superior in the sense that I can consistently hit for 550-700 damage every 5 seconds instead of anywhere from 80 - 1300 damage every 7 seconds.

E11, is faster, and does more reliable damage. I have seen an E11 120-165 3. something, I forgot. Im sure there can be better too.

Completely disagree - yes at times the variance is no good but get a laser rifle with 7 second delay thats got damage rating into the 300's and in a group fighting large monsters I can lay prone and make sure I never miss with modifiers etc and over 99% of the time I outdamge any and everyone

In PVP I hit with mindshot and if get even a medium hit with mine thats 18-345 I do a mindbleed of 400 - guaranteed incap not even counting a follow up headshot

Not saying weapons dont have their time and place such as t21 or spraystick or whatever but saying a laser rifle is useless is showing you havent gotten the right ones andused in right places

Discouraging to see the profession correspondant for rifleman agree to such a broad statement

Cant count number of times groupmembers have said in some form or fashion

"What the #$% are you using that you can hit for 2000 several times with ?"

Which part of my statement do you disagree with? I said that the damage variance is too big to be useful fo rme. I have a 7.3 speed 18-307 laser rifle. And frankly, doing one shot for 125 and the next one for 1376 is simply not reliable enough for me.

no offence but have you laser rifle bashers even used one? as long as you use overcharge or headshot you kill on the first hit. you can preach about faster fire rates all you want but after ive killed you on the first and only shot fired, we'll see whos right. btw, my laser rifle is sliced to fire at 5.4 just in case...

No offense, but are you mentally deficient? Or do you simply talk out of your bunghole without reading any of the prvious posts? IOWN and USE a laser rifle andI bash it becasue of the ridiculously wild damage variance.With an E11, 80% of my shots fall withing the 550-650 range. With my laser rifle, it'slike playing the friggin lottery. Yes, I can win big with a 1300 dmg shot. But I can also unceremoniously fart off a 150 dmg shot. It's just not dependable.

you must have bad luck as out of 10 shots and I have looked at the logs several times and always about the same

1- less that 200

most are 700-900

3 are over 1000 almost always

Plus getting it sliced to being slightly faster makes all the difference

I rarely ever hit under 200 - plus your statement that "they are useless" is what I disagree with

Israeli, you said you rarely hit under 200? That's exactly my point. With an E11, I NEVER hit under 400. Granted I never hit over 800, either but I'm willing to accept that. I have roughly a 300 point dmage variance with an E11 and a 1000 pint dmage variance with a laser rifle. The E11, although doing less damage, is just more dependable in all-around use.
