It is obvious as Rifleman you must get the ranged arms in order to compete with everyone else's range... but those of you who have the arms, do you notice you take more damage since you cant armor up your arms? Does anyone know the answer?

But we have the furthest natural range?

By the way, they are still ugly!

Yes they take defence deficits. Ever seen what a Scatter shot does on them? Goes right through that 1900 armor hole , most times.

I wear only one arm also to keep tapes in the other arm's armor also..

I was taking a real beating when getting hit in the cyber arms. I think its about 1k resists to energy which is nothing.

that's why I don't wear arms. All my friends have them, but I think they're ugly and have huge armor holes. I'd rather my 6800 energy defense suit than a 1900 rez arm, ranged arm, or laughable melee/shock arms

I agree

I find I am just as effective if not more so without the armor hole of the arms and as has been stated many times... they are ugly so I am not fond of them.

well that 1900 or so is about 20% resistance good ubese can have 5000-7000 energy and base, that 50% or so, 30% is a lot when they do from 400 at ur chest of 700 on ur arm. its a major increase.

I just fought the same sharnaff bull (CL 79) first with my cybernetic arms, then i went and uninstalled them and put on my Kinetic 5346 Marine arm armor and went back to the mission. The same sharnaff did the same amount of damage to me. So you guys sure theres more damage?

Trick is to stay out of enemy range when you use the arms. Not always easy, but when you do, the missing armor makes no difference. And they are ugly, but a lot less ugy when worn left and right, you almost get used to them.

you will most definitely take more damage if your target uses a targeted bodyshot.

If they use a random shot you have a 4 in 9 chance of taking more damage.

if they used targeted head or legshots you should not take any extra damage at all (unless cyberlegs are in and installed)

I agree they're ugly (something a little unfair considering other arms can look quite nice) but I wear two ranged ones, mainly because it costs too much to have to keep going to uninstall them whenever I'm not going hunting, and also because I'm valued by guildies when we're working on quests.

I had no idea there were damage penalties though. How much more damage do I take by wearing the arms in comparison to good armor?

Well if we have both arms in we can't have the death cybernetic legs anyway.

One thing confuses me: why do we take damage in the arms at all if we have cybernetics equipped? It's not as if they're flesh and bone (and fur as the case may be)
