Thread: IYO: Best profession to AUGMENT rifleman
As the title says, what in your opinion is the best career to augment RIFLE, and i do me augment cause the focus is to be a better rifleman. I have my own ideas but I would like to see others.
What and why, opinions please. thank you.

My Master Rifleman, Master Marksman, 0340 doctor works very well (although i have to have a guildmember make buffs for me, but that's not a big deal).
my solo pvp kill to death ratio seems to average around 15 to 1. sometimes higher, rarely lower.
no, i don't have any scout skills
another good one is Master Rifleman, Master Marksman OR a +5 Rifle Speed tape (i've got one coming thursday), along with TKM (or mix of tk and fencer for defense - see Silverlobo's template).
The ability to buff myself is awesome, master rifle/master marksman accuracy and speed is the best a 'pure' rifleman can get, and the defenses aren't half bad either. Dropping doctor/medic for TK/Melee skills is also a very potent template. wear your Rifleman tag and you'll never have anyone kite you again

But isnt the buff for master rifle/marks really = master rifle with mark 4/0/0/4? So why waste 8 skill boxes on pistol and carbine just to get the buffs of master marks skill box. I ask cause I use to be master marks and gave it and the pistol/carbine up for higher level ch skills
CH = obviosuly good cause you can lock up your targets, which means no wearing armor no encumbrance.
Entertainer? Coulda Master Rifle/ Master Entertainer buff their own mind pool?
ok entertainers cant buff their minds AFAIK yet (maybe a bug it may not).
Master marksman gives you +5 to rifle speed bringing up to 100 or 95 (I cant' remember I just know this makes us really fast) this means you will be shooting specials every second!
for me my alt is headed down towards MCH,MRM, novice medic,2H swords to novice swordsman.
I have meat shields, healing capacity, and something up my sleave so i don't run around being chased by things because I have a rifle out!

The no. of times I have surprised and killedunsuspecting Imps would make you laugh. The first thing they realise is the dialog box asking them where to clone.

spending that many skillpoints on master marksman is useless. if you want to be exceptionally good in both pvp and pve, go either:
1) Master rifleman, master doctor
this allows you to buff yourself and others, rez others, cure poison and disease, and all the other doc perks
2) master rifleman, master TKA
TKA + the Rifleman mods amount to some amazing defense skill mods. this also allows you to do exceptionally well in PvE(TKA's and dish out more damage than rifleman in PvE), and fairly well in pvp being your a master rifleman, and coupled with that is of course the defense mods from each which really help =)
i wouldnt go TKA just to attack when they get close, these are the reasons id go TKA:
INSANE defensive mods, im talking +melee mods, +ranged mods, etc etc. just check out their skill tree's to see it, add it to rifleman mods, and youve got a char that will abosorb 50%+ of that type of damage you take.
Meditate: this thing is also extremly good. you can heal any wounds you have, you can heal most states your in, you can powerboost your 3 HAM stats by +50% for 10 minutes on end, and you have /forceofwill, which gives you a chance of getting up while incapped.
i still go with the main point, the defensive mods that go with TKA. these things are huge, most people cannot take down a Master TKA with buff's +composite. why? because the majority of their damage gets abosorbed by 1) the composite armor, and 2) your massive skill mods
