Ok, I get about 10 hours a week to play, and I picked rifleman not because a box told me, but because at the time no one was a rifleman(Sept.). How long is it taking to make Master, and i don't want this to be a pisssing contest of who did it faster. I'm getting frustrated at how long it is taking me to work on this. I hunt about everynight, I use a CG and hunt anything over 5k in HAM. It just seems like it is taking forever. I'm only at 1/1/1/0, so to make myself feel a little better I was hoping at least one other person is taking as long as I am. Hear again this is not a pissing contest, this is to figure out how bad I'm doing in my grinding. Anyone on Valcyn who would not mind hunting really big stuff with me, send me a tell in game and I will pay for your trip.

I play a little more than you do -- maybe 15-20 hours a week -- and I knew from day one that I wanted to bea Rifleman. I've been working on it since that day, although I should add that I am in no way a grinder.

I just made 4-1-3-2 last night, and will probably make 4-1-4-3 this weekend, at the rate I'm going now. So I'm just now starting to see the light at the end of the tunnel.

Trust me on this: if you are 1-1-1-0 now, get yourself to 1-1-3-x as fast as possible. That's why you'll really notice the XP start rolling in.

I agree that this is one of the slowest professions in the game to level up.

Agree, rifleman is one of the hardest elite clas to skill...

Just spend yah time grinding a way at Torturs on Talus or Pickects on Dant, and used to be Snorballs on Lok

I play about 20-25 hours a weak, and I started the game at week 2, and hit master about 4 weeks ago. I did a little grinding but mostly that was from my hunts.

It is a long hard road to go on, but as you progress it gets sweet. Get flushing 2!!!!! Cannot emphasize enough how important this shot is to progressing up the tree.

If you're playing a limited amount of time every week it does take a long time. Solo it takes even longer.

Best thing to do is hook up with a Master CH on a night long hunt (bout 3 hours) on Dantooine, Lok, Yavin 4, or even Dathomir. In fact I ended up getting a good chunk of Rifleman done on one such hunt. Then when you're fairly up intosnipe accuracyand anti sniping tech's,I'd suggest going solo on Yavin 4 (made me Master in about 12 days 2-3 hours a day, started at about 4-1-3-2). Best place for solo xp as a higher level Rifleman is the Temple of the Blue Leaf Cluster, it absolutely crawls with Dark Kliknik's (4-5k rifle xp each one). Finished up Rifleman in a matter of 3 days in this temple.

Thanks guys for the responses, I used to have a buddy Named Olemo who woud bring his big pets out and grind with me, but I think he left. Must find a new MCH to run with, and not to open a can of worms, I was grinding for an At St to help me grind. Not to take out Krayts, just to grind out on a little smaller prey, but since their is a NERF on the way....

I will grind my little butt off to get 1/1/3/1 and then kill everything in site.

with a graul mauler and a supply of BOH, spice and magic potatos it will take you a week'ish to get to flushing 2, then 1 long (8hour) session to master after that.

I have no CH skills, my template is Rifleman 1/1/1/1 (got the last one a minute ago), Medic 4/4/4/4, Scout 3/4/3/3, and Marksman 4/0/0/4. I'm a memeber of a 100+ player guild, in which their are a couple of MCH that I can grind with. Again thanks for all the responses, I see alot of people out ot flame everyone and appreciate the help.

I play close to 25-30 hours a week. Istarted week oneor week two and hitmaster abut 2-3 weeks ago. I wasgoing rifle from the beginning but I had alsogotten 4334 medic and got into bio-engineer for a bit. I have also nearly mastered CH. If you are more single minded than I am and don't wonder into other professions,I think 2/3 of the time I invested shoulf be more than enough so 10-20 hours a week or so.

I've been playing since July. I've been focused on ranger/rifleman the whole time. I think I should be finishing up master tonight or tomorrow night. I usually play about 20 hours per week.

I'd suggest getting a couple crates of muon gold, 5-6 sliced T-21 rifles, and several crates of powerups. I can usually solo a piket lair in 20 minutes using a muon gold and a powerup.

the quickest possible way to grind would be fore you to grab 1-1-0-0 CH and get a Greater Sludge Panther (excellent kinetic resist) and go to town with Flushing2. it's not unreasonable to expect 100k xp an hour if you play it smart. (kill the beasts around a lair, then reset itby backing off 160m for a min or two, instead of going off to find another one - this is VERY fast xp).

i was a total noob and did the grind in a month. I could have done it faster if i was more efficient + knew all the tricks. I played about 30 hours a week back then (no social life on week days, lol). i also mastered scout, went half way up CH, mastered marksman, and did some medic in that time.

Dathomir + dantooine are a CH+combat professions planet of choice for grinds. death is more costly now than it was when a lot of us did our grind, so that is possibly working against you.

if you refuse to go CH, then bleed high level stuff and scram! when they tick down to near-nothing, HS2.

if you get good at this you can make quite a bit of xp per hour.
