Sorry, I should have specified this is primarily a PvE template.

Mediate 4does remove state effects (with exception to Dizzy - cant Med while dizzy). Disease, Bleeds, Poisons, all get removed in a matter of seconds.

I could keep Ranged Support 1 and drop the first box in Scout if you think its worth it.

PVE you could probably live without it, although if you like to /conceal a lot then it might still come in handy. Can you meditate while blind or stunned or intimidated? I thought you couldn't but it's been awhile since I've tried.

it can be pretty usefull at times in PVP assuming your not fighting defense stackers. In PVE, you can definately live without it.

You don't really need it in pvp either, as for the most part PVP is going to amount to spamming headshot3 until what your shooting at dies.

Personally, I believe that Ranged Support is ABSOLUTELY needed for a PVP-minded Rifleman. Once you reach Ranged Support IV you get the Suppression Fire skill, which can posture down your target (knockdown) while you can than use Flurry Shot to dizzy your target. That way you can do your own KD/Dizzy combo by using your rifle alone! A great help for any PVPing Rifleman.

I dropped it after getting MR to get better then non-CH pets. Good bio pet is a good guard that can save your butt when the server craps on you and makes things aggro that should not have. /warningshot is not 100% effective, and you have to pay attention and target the right thing.

That's interesting, I use Warning Shot all the time without any problems. I find it comes in very handy in intense creature fights were they surround and start pounding you. I use WS to get one creature to flee, once it starts to flee I clear and than I spam /aim, /Headshot2(3) as the creature flees into the needed range for that attack. Most times I can use this method once or twice to kill my target until I just have one creature left attacking me that I make very quick work out of.

I think I'm going do without the Ranged Support line for now. In close quarters combat I plan to switch over to my Scythe and clear a path! I can definately see where WS would come in handy without a melee attack of some sort to back it up.

Skel - I don't recall if Meditate removes Blind, Stun, or Intimidate. Gives me something to test tonight when I get home! hehe

Thanks all!

Here's what I'm shooting for:

Master Rifleman

Master Swordsman

TKA 4/0/0/0 (for Meditation, Power Boost, Force of Will, and removing state effects)

Scout 1/0/0/0 (for Terrain Nego)

Novice Medic

Thanks for your help!

The advantages to Ranged Support are: Aim, Warningshot, and SuppressionFire. Aim is nice to have, but you can live without it, especially in PvE. Warningshot is useful in PvE, but not necessary, and it is worthless in PvP. SuppressionFire can produce a Dizzy/KD if your opponent is dizzy when you posture them down AND they stand up on their own voluntarily. But with Master Swordsman you will have Lunge1 plus several Swordsman attacks that can posture down. Even so, Dizzy is no guarantee for a knockdown if they do voluntarily get up. Therefore, there is really no compelling reason for you to take Ranges Support 4.

I gave it up a long time ago, and I have never missed it. You will, however, miss the terrain negotiation from Scout 1 0 0 0. I would not give that up for Ranged Support I.

If it comes to a choice between TKA meditate and the ranged support in marksman, TKA all the way.

Are you shooting for pvp? and meditate doesn't remove status effects, in fact, I don't think it allows you to meditate if you have some kind of status.

I've done ok without having all of ranged support 1-4, but I do keep ranged support 1. Rifle's get a good bonus to the /aim accuracy so it helps against stackers.
