Some aspects of it are useful for the lower levels of Rifleman. Namely /WarningShot and /Aim. Once you Master Rifleman you can drop it.

I don't believe I noticed a difference when I dropped the Ranged Support line after getting Master Rifleman, except that I cannot train in it anymore
