Tip 6-

Slicing. Now with slicing it really depends on how high up you are, what weapon ect. So make sure you buy atleast 3 of the weapons you want. You can always sell these away fairly easy in your local city. At lower levels you naturally want it all speed sliced, becuase speed is always better for XP. But as you get higher, and start to PvP, your going to want damage slices. When you get your stuff sliced, make sure there a master smuggler. Why you ask? master Smugglers can get up to 40 percent slices, were normal can only get 30. They also never fail, and they tend to have more money to buy better weapons for the slicing kits.Try and go to the same slicer everytime, eventually they will give you discounts, and that way you can trust them.I get a min. slice of 28 everytime, and If I dont get a damage slice, I dont pay. Becuase I have gone to him for over 100 slices

Don't know if anyone followed up, but I will comment on this as I am a Master Smuggler. First, Masters will always slice weapons in the range of 15-35 (if anyone cares armor will go in 11-35 resist ?-45 encumb). Anyone with a clamp won't fail (slice 4 schem) but Masters are the best at slicing. Never goto anything less. There is also no way to always get a min of 28 as quality of tools, sadly, does not matter. We also can't pick fyi I don't know why anyone would give a discount... though I charge a flat fee, not that % stuff.

Read the thread now About power-ups, max damage isn't that good though. It only increases the range where you can hit in. Min damage is nicer because it closes it. Imao. On Sunrunner, the mods I see are 33/16 normally. My favorite are 33 speed/mind 16 min damage.

Well the sword/dagger are Vibro so they vibrate! Seriously though, they are still viable. In the EU, TKA are on equal footing as a Jedi.

I personally found levelling to be done best by Pikets, all the way up the tree.

Climbing sniper, I would send my grauler to attack one, and then switch it's target repeatedly as I mind-bled them all. When they all had been hit by my mind-bleed macro, I simply finished each off with a headshot or three.

When I hit counter-sniping 3, at 4/1/3/2, my tactics changed immesurably. I would simply send my pet at the lair, wait a few moments for crowds to swarm it, and then sprat Flushingshot2 at the lair, washing all the pikets in cleansing waves of death.

Harvesting the corpses for huge volumes of herbivore meat brought me a tidy penny from my friendly neighborhood doctors, too.

After mastering, I got rid of CH and now find that the TKA I picked up is an excellent replacement for it. I can take outsome big game like Fambaas by firing on themuntil they charge, and then unequipping my rifle when they arrive so I may UnarmedKD them and use warcryon them. Once they're flat out andDelayed, I just run away and keep on emptying rounds into them. They all die before they get up, excellent for collecting CombatXP for TKA and helping friends get scout XP farmed up.

Taking out Ravenous Tortons on Rori quickly increases Rifleman Levels. They ususally spawn ~800 m NE of the Rebel Outpost, or along the southern mountain range. They can be quite dangerous, as they will attack in groups, making having a pet a necessity. Even non-CH pets, such as a rock beetle, is only what is required. Send them in, the Torton(s) attack the pet, and you take 'em from 60m out. Each Torton gives about 3600xp, and 360 CH points. I have managed to kill >20 in a few hours, without my little beetle or myself getting incap.

the other day i was so mad with my rifleman i just about gave up on him. i had been chatting with my friend in tells about how his bh was going exp and making money for missions. basicly he 1 - 4 light lighting cannon in one day and bh pistol in two. considering i started before him and only had 4 0 0 2 i was pretty pissed, o and he had upwards of 300k from doing 25k missions. I had on the other had 30k in the bank from selling meat ....

I had been on talus killing torturs, they are pretty good exp 3100 rifle exp per tortur bull. i could kill one in around 2 to 3 hs3 and would send my pet in if it charged me.

my bh friend on endor was getting 4500 exp per kill and 25k for each mission.

i though well hey i have to see his set up for my self what is he doing which was so good?

i went along found him and we joined up for a good 2 hrs in which i made more money than i had ever had in the game. He could down a punbam in cuple shots of his LLC or a volly from his pistol. i would end up half way though one mobs mind bar and run out of mind to keep shooting. I decided i should go for BH like him because i liked the idea of becomming rambo ^ . ^

at the time i was also upset with how poor the rifle game play was compeared to game i had played. I had really wanted to become a "sniper" what keeps me going is the hope that if eilte L337 do come out i am still get a chance.

My tip for exp is quite simple

1) Talus i find is still the best, once your have found a nest of torturs use mask scent prone at 55 meters from the nest start with the biggest then move your way down using hs3 (i highly recommend getting your self some gold) when the side effects start kill the last mob and run 200 - 250 meters away from the nest it will completey re heal and re stock its spawns. repeat intill board and/or falling asleep on the keyboard set in.

2) for money i recommend endor you will need a stronge pet and alot of pet stims. punbams are the best as the nest does not spawn any mobs. the trick to it is to send your pet in useing the attack command on one of the mobs then call it back stright away with the follow command, (here you get revenge and can use ninja warping creatures to your advantage) about 1 - 2 will warp on to your creature get your creature to attack one and make sure you attack the same on as your pet (if you don't attack the same as your pet this creature will agro you as the only source of damage) becarefull because if you pet runs off or chases the creature away it will run out of range very fast, espically if it is a greater sluge panther. keep doing this to all the nest mobs are dead then kill the nest and enjoy the bling bling bling.

Your mistake was in levelling up for the sniper title. You really want to go 1-0-3-X right off the bat for the AoE shot. With that, I can send my GSP into a bantha nest... wait for them all to spawn and attack the panther, then AoE the nest and all the bantha in 5-6 laser rifle AoE shots. Quick Rifle/Scouting XP, ok cash from taking the missions in the first place and killer cash from selling the wooly hide back in coronet. Making about 70-80k a day from this depending on how the hides sell. (only playing in 2-4 hour bursts)

Same thing goes for pickets on Dantooine. Just bigger in every respect: more xp, more money from the missions, more money from selling herbivore meat en masse, and the need for a bigger pet - I use a graul. Getting to 1-0-3-X was a slow process of single kiting or pet-pulling, so in that respect I feel for you.

I'm well on my way to Master Rifleman. I have to say this is by far the best prof. I have played. I went ahead and mastered marksman and got unarmed 4, b/c I was going to go commando, but I saved rifleman for last, and I'm glad I did. It took me a while to come up with a style that I was comfortable with, whilegoing throughmarksman, but once I got that down I was gtg. Once I decided to go rifleman I went ahead and got 2-x-x-x right off the bat b/c I wanted both HS3 and MS2. These helped with getting x-x-3-x which is the best ability I've seen thus far. I say that and mean that to some extent, but I went ahead and dabbled with x-1-x-x. This seems to be broken no more. Out of approx 10 people I killed only 1 aggro'd me, and that's Niiice, that's real niiice. So, I've been debating on using that as my primary attack and using flushing shot2 as a backup.

I strongly agree that you get at least a rock beetle to take aggro. I learned this alittle late, when by now I should have 33xx on the CH tree, whereas I'm stuck with 1211 now, but this helps greatly.

I normally use my T21 while meatpuppet (my GSP) is tanking, then switch over to the one of the laser rifles when aggro'd. I've never worn any decent armor and with the HAM cost don't forsee myself using it in the future. ---anythoughts on this

Right now my stats sit at

Master Marksman, CH 1|2|1|1, Med 2|2|2|4, RIFLEMAN 2|1|3|2

I'm gonna eventually drop marksman(prob. when I get xxx3 or 4)and either MA medic so I can get some doctor in, go MA CH or screw around with something else, but either way unless SOE completely ruins this prof. I'm definently going MA rifle.

Thats all I got to say about that -F.G.

1. Level of slicingdoes not matter when determine the SUCCESS or FAIL of slicing. Only matters if Molecular Clamp is used or not during slice. Novice smuggler can slice conatiners with 100% success if MC is used and Master smuggler at 50% fails if he did not use it. Molecular clamp can be made by Slicer (slicing 4).

2. It is true that Slicer has 10-30% pure random slice (there is one exception though) on WEAPON. It is false that Master smuggler can reach 40%. He has additional 5% bonus. Higher % could be reached by the multiple slicing due to bug when several slicers were involved. I believe it was fixed with one of the patch before the New Year. About exception. I trully believe that slice can't improve weapon or armorstatistics higher thansome max. This gives explanation why very very rare slice could be less than min/max I posted - had only once 8%on armor with very high original statistics.

It is true though armor slicing is higher in average on about 5%.

4. According to my experience quality of Weapon upgrade kit and especially (100% that next statement is true)all smuggler made tools does not make any difference in result.Made my tools with 99% effectiveness and from the real crap metal with very low attributes. No difference at all.

The bonus 5%
