Thread: Tips For Rifleman
Quick Question,
Just made Sniper and I notice that xp is greatly reduced for my kills. Another rifleman told me he didn't notice this and thinks I did something else. Any ideas. Think if the xp decrease is correct, I'll have to drop sniping 4 and work everything else up to III 1st as I'll never get the combat xp with this SEVERELY reduced XP.
Thanks
I have a question. I'm not quiiiite a rifleman (soooo clooose) but I have been using one since i started playing. I use the headshot/warningshot combo and it works well until the inevitable ninja warping that puts me in close combat with my target.
I have a 'sniper defense' macro arming a pistol, doing a kipup shot and then close range shots. However, the kipupshot never leaves me standing as advertised... is this skill bugged? Maybe I'm asking the wrong board but I figure others must have tried the same defense.
First of all, love the sig, hilarious and apprapot.
I guess I can't confirm that I was hit'n really tough stuff after getting sniping IV, I'll try some Fambaa's before I drop it I suppose.
Thanks
I'm not sure how many of us out there are Wookiees, but the bowcaster is an excellent weapon for Rifleman.
I use power-ups to drop my speed to 2.8 for attacking. I love the results
Or buy a small pet (rock beetle or something) and some of my powerups and you off, that's what I use and together with my pet I can take on good amounts of creatures.
On thing is to let your pet attack the lair and when they spawn to attack it you can pick the mobs of from a distance without much trouble. For this to work you gotta have a pet with high HAM.
Finally good luck and plz find me a good t21 I can buy.
chances are the creature will end up aggroing you if you use a pre-nerfed T21. Your best bet, depending on its AR, is to use a DLT20a, Jawa Ion, or Laser Rifle. For faster, yet decent damage, becuase the up-front damage aggros creatures, wich is why alot of times in group the rifleman gets the aggro and gets one shotted.
AAAHHHHH! had no idea about this...was wondering why some mob's would try to get away from the pet and come after me. Personally, i dont like this...it doesnt make sense for a mob to turn its back on something the size of a graul, travel 30-40m's and try to hit me because i'm hitting it harder.../shrug
now, for something the size of a dragon or a kimo...that makes sense...it could take a bit more damage to try and stop whatever is hurting it the most. i guess that is the way the dev's look at it and that is what we get.
ok...after some consideration...this makes sense from the dev's point of view. they programmed all mob's to act this way so that they didnt have to have two sets of programming for mob's and NPC's. Most animal mob's shouldnt have the intelligence to figure out that "i need to kill the guy thats hittin me the hardest". NPC's (humanoids and the intelligent races) of SWG, would be smart enoughs to figure this out and do something about it. I understand now, but i still dont like it. Animals should be to dumb to figure that out...IMO
very nice post, but a side note about slicing:
max weapons slice is 35%, NOT 40%.
armor otoh is 45% max.
