so wait. . i wasted my free unlock for 1 actuall rifle speed. . .but 12 FS speed. . .w.t.f. is this. . .someone will pay

with +6 speed yes riflemen would hit the 1 second speed cap. With +12 there is no change to riflespeed. With carbineers even with +12 they still dont hit the speed cap unless they go up the BH carbine tree. Pistols are already capped.


With melee both fencer and TK are already capped. With swords and pike they need the speed to cap.


Soooo anyone want to give me a solid reason why it should work for melee but not ranged? Range speed is not a rifleman only issue, this is a range combat profession core issue.

Has anyone else noticed that the people it's working for all seem to have Master Combat Prowess or at least the melee tree too? It's clearly broken, my question is perhaps there is a bug where the melee tree gives us speed as well instead of the ranged tree, or that it only works when we have both, or perhaps with the entire profession mastered. Does it work for anyone who has the ranged speed tree ONLY?

You will cap any weapon with +100. Since that is a 100% speed reduction.


At Master Rifleman you have +90. A +6 will bring it up to +96 and will cap most, but not all, rifles.


However if you were to add in Master Marksman also you would be at +101. So you would cap.


Or if you were a Master Rifleman with +90 and got a +12 you would be at +102. The extra +2 would be pointless but you would still cap.


Neither a +6 or +12 are useless. I think they meant that the +12 would put you over the +100 and hence those extra two points would be useless.
