Thread: Should We Rifleman Start Preparing???

They MUST balance everything with CURB, all armor, weapons, buffs (doc, spice, food, ent), healing, DoT's (personally prefer to see these deleted completely as they have nothing to do with a players skill)
If you have an UBER weapon now I would suggest you will end up with a weapon better than average after CURB but no like it is now, say all T21's are 500 dmg and folling balance come down to 450 (just for fun), if you have a 2500 dmg one now its going to be closer to 500 after CURB or the balance part of CURB is a waste of time. Given the huge player base waiting for CURB to return playability to combat the throught ofa very small number of people with amazing weapons leaving is of no consequence (tho I feel your pain, really).
Look at it this way, in a game such as Starwars Battlefront - everyone has the SAME weapons - its way more fun the SWG combat, becuase you have to be able to play, not buy an I win button.
Personally I would like to see ALL weapons dynamicaly balance when it comes to PvP and the player be the one who wins a fight and not the weapon or DoT. In PvE its les of an issue other than the lame ass campers and tbh SOE really just needs to ban them and keep banning them.
CURB will make or break this game this year, if it works (and it wont work on day one it will take a few months, so roll with it) then this game has the chance to grow and grow and still be going strong 3 or 4 years from now, if it fails, well it will be dead before Christmas.

- We will convert all existing weapons, armor, factory crates, and schematics to use the new combat data wherever possible.
All weapons will be fit into the new system ![]()
- good for balance
- bad for the bank balance

I agree with Aajax. The refromulation of weapons power should be a stairstep scale with set power and damage. PUPS should give 15 or 20 damage points no %. Other skills associated with weapons should come from the skill trees and what level a player has attained or the path he took through the tree.Also,The spread of min to max needs to be alot smaller than it is. Maybethe actual damagecould be determined by the environmental variables.. Like what is in the way between your target and you.
Whatever happens, hopefully will be fare, equal for all, and enjoyable. Alot really rides onthe balancing.For many it is a game nogamedecision point.

here is some 'food for thought'
.....how do you know the new ranged weapons will use the 'krayt tissue'as sub-component/enhancements?

ok i only read the first page because i kept hearing the same thing over and over. Did anyone reard the CURB relaese last week? Yes all weapons even the exptional and legendary are going to be readjusted for the CURB. Now before all of you get your panties in a bunch it has been stated that the exeptional and legendary weapons will still have an advantage over normal weapons. Also the release said that all ranged will be able to fire from 64m ( it wasn't in the release but rifleman are supposed to be able to fire from much farther) and melee is being brought down to 6m so even if we are slowed down with the right tactics we shouldn't have a problem

just read through the thread...it's no wonder the game is in it's current state, all that's left are a bunch of whining babies
have no fear, soon we will all be "balanced" and we can play carebears in space, eat some cookies and drink warm milk
