First off you DON"T have to walk him to the mining outpost. All you have to do is go into the first room in thw warren and use the computer terminal to the right. This guy named ogl'wozax or something like that will spawn and you need to talk to him INSIDE the warren. The two times i walked out without talking to him it didn't work. once you talk to him walk your way out and you will get attacked by some droids, sometimes even before you leave (atleast thats what happened to me). Once your outside the guy will still follow you and if you leave him behind it says you failed but you really don't. Just go to the minning outpost cantina "use" the box and head back to Boba.
Now as for the pistol quest after that I tried it but messed it up cause i killed all the claw gurads before i attempted to go into the office and i guess that was not the thing to do. so i have to try that again later. If anyone knows how to do that please post it for me so i don't have to do it a thousand times like the other two quests.
Did this, went to MO cantina and couldn't use the box. Tried /use with it targetted and got a message saying "You do not have a Doctors bag" Repeated messages saying "You failed to escort your Escort target" appeared on screen. And had to /quit and restart game.
Will try again.

1. Maybe if you didn't have a good rifle before CU? This rifle seems to be on par with a crafted T21 and ALR post CU, at least from the weaponsmiths on our server so far.
2. Another reason you might want this is if you are not a rifleman. As a Carbineer, BH, Pistoleer you would have a wide veriety of shots with enough general speed and accuracy to be as damaging at the same range as a Rifleman. The only thing you would give up is sniper and cover which don't work too well right now so you would be a pretty deadly rifleman without any rifle skills.
3. If you didn't have master rifle but wanted to work towards that goal, this is a great level 54 rifle to use to level up.
4. It looks a lot better than the laser rifle.
5. It is a one time item so you might be able to sell it for a bit of extra cash.
There might be more reasons, but these are 5 quick ones as to why people might want this rifle.
