Think about it for a second, then come talk to me. I PvP, every night, I dont want to do 200 dmg, and die. I want to do 1300 and live. With the amount of PvP I do, Im going to get a few of those shots off, I cant avoid it, so I go with reliable weapon that will give me that one shot every time.

I have a better idea...When you actually get a laser rifle...come talk to me. Until then don't make another BS post. If you like your E11 or DLT20a that is fine. Iswitch betweena laser rifle and DLT20a myself. My E11 I rarely use. It is all preference.

You dont have to use anything to know how good it is. This game is based of math, like everything else is.

Im done arguing with you becuase I know im right. Its plain and simple, that every once and a while, no matter how little it happens gets you killed. I dont want to get killed when Im soloing. In a group of a bunch of people doing a raid, thats fine. But when Im soloing, I live becuase I know my gun will one shot them, every time.

Your basing your facts that I havnt used it for hours on end. I dont need to nor does anyone else. There are equations you use to figure out the damage of a gun. Hey, look I figured out that everyonce in a while, this gun is gonna do 100 damage. I could care less how rare it is, that 100 dmg will get me killed.

I don't have to convince you of anything. I already know it is a good gun. If you don't then it is your loss.

It seems some of you confuse the usefulness of the weaponsin Pve and PvP .

Maybe you can afford to do some 200 damage shots on the mob in front of you but you cant, if you face a skilled player from one of the pure combat professions.

Dont forget many more people then now will have a profession mastered in the near future and they all have a one shot killer special.

What it comes down to , and i agree with our correspondent , if you re not usinga one - shot-safe-kill rifle in pvp you may be toast.

And what is the difference doing 1000 dmgor 2300 dmg on the mind pool ?

The target will be dead in 99 % of the case.

I bet the laser rifle is better when you try to kill a mob with a huge HAM bar but i would never bring one to a pvp encounter.

Well I got my laser rifle sliced to 4.9 speed it's a 20-352 and doing 2K+ damage with it every other shot is amaizing. I drop the mobs faster than anyone in the group....but I don't group anymore.

Call me crazy or call me stupid but i just dont get what you guys are arguing about.

What is the minimum and maximum damage of a DLT20a ?

What is the minimum and maximum damage of a Laser?

My DLT20 i recall is something like 54-264, 4.8 secs.

My Laser is something like 16-354, 5.3 secs.

Now everyone talks about averages so lets use em.

The average for the DLT (54-264)/2 = 159 Ave every 4.8 Secs

The average for the Laser (16-364)/2 = 190.5 Ave every 5.3 secs

So what are you guys talking about? I have those 2 weapons and they arent even this highest quality materials and to me the Laser seems to win? Prove me wrong people?

When you show me a log, of 100 Laser Rifle shots using Head shot, and not one shot is under 300, Ill say its a good gun. Until then, mathematics holds true.

My laser rifle is 10-301damage and 4,5 speed (sliced and poweruped)

It does wonders in pve, but the only draw back is that it has ridicilous ham costs... I can hardly kill 1 mob before my ham bar is empty, infact several times ive incapped myself in a fight just due to the ham costs

With my trusty E11 i was able to shoot constantly for minutes, infact for a while I though my char was bugged cause the mind bar never ever moved.

But this bloody laser rifle is impossible, ive got 500 focus and near 900 willpower as well as 900 mind... and still the drain is horrible.

your whole post is total crap. i went to lok and in 2 hours i earned 30k rifle experience with my laser rifle. now please tell me how that's useless? if i had used a gay ass e11 or sg82, i wouldn't have been able to do that. no weapon in this game is useless it all depends on playstyle (except maybe the jawa ion cannon...that gun sucks)

"Im done arguing with you becuase I know im right"

You are our rifleman correspondent and your taking to take an attitude like that? To be honest by taking on that role you should become more of an observer and peacemaker than someone who flares up topics and arguements such as this. Immature drivel started taking over this thread, and instead of keeping a focus on guns you help fan the flames.

Personal preference of a weapon type is all well and dandy, but if you are going to represent Riflemen, I ask that you do it properly.
