Nice, Master Rifle / Master Doc is a nice combo that's for sure but did you consider getting the TK meditation line? It sort of gives you a similar result albeit slower as you have to meditate to cure poisons and disease but it's not quite as heavy on Skill Points. I know I'm dropping TK now to pursue Pikeman ( which by the way is a lot of fun ) but I'm going to try and keep the Meditation line as I find it so useful for the same reasons as you are taking up Doc.
Hey Onichi,
Just want to let you know that this is my template. Rifle/Pike with 4004 TKA. I used to be the rifle/tkm with fencer defenses, and I got kind of bored with TKM so I wanted to try something fun with less people, so I picked up Pikeman. It's a lot of fun, it does have a lot of problems, but if you can land yourself some good dot pikes you can be a force to reckon with. Right now I'd say there's not much out there that I fear. A fencer/doc gave me huge problems and beat me, but I've got a new strategy next time I face him
.
The one reallygood thing about pikeman is the looted pikes. The good ones can be hard to find, but at least you know what to kill to get them (Nightsisters). Plan on killing nightsisters for a couple of weeks, or be lucky enough to have some guildmate who will give you some mind poison lances they had laying around
. If you get really lucky you'll also find a good mind fire lance (I'm still searching for one of these, I did manage a pretty good health fire lance at least). I find that NS Rangers work really well, they aren't too difficult to kill, you can use your rifle on them and they seem to have a pretty good drop rate. Then when in battle I get in real close and just rotate through my various pikes making sure I hit them with the dot. Poisons will stack too, so it's good to have 4 or so poison lances. The problem I had with the doc/fencer was that he would just cure the mind poison when I'd put it on him, so next time I'll be sure to put poisons on his other stats as well, along with some fire, not to mention I will probably try to throw in a warcry to let the dot's do their work.
So I've done really well with this template. Back in the day when I was defense stacked,I could take on multiple people pretty easily since they couldn't hit me, obviously this changed when they capped defenses, so I've adjusted. I've been able to take down multiple opponents with this now as well, althoughI kind of feel like a CM with a stick. But if you don't have any looted pikes, don't plan on having pikeman help you at all in PvP. It is pretty horrible.
Also the stacked block does make you block more often, especially if you are COB'd, but that's not that huge of a benefit since it still allows 50% damage. Seriously I think it's a killer template, probably for the same reasons that a CM/Rifleman can be effective. You hit them with some mind poisons and then you can hammer their disappearing mind.
I'm also starting to stock up on some poisons to the other stats as well for when they change the HAM system. If mind becomes stim'able then it will be much easier for me to land some health/action poisons/fires and then use some flurry's and strafe's. Good luck to ya, and if you have any questions on leveling pike let me know.

Yeah, I considered it both for Meditate and Powerboost. But Meditate while meditate can get rid of disease and poison and can heal wounds, it is not an in-battle skill. If I am severely poisoned during a battle my only option with that skill is to disengage and meditate. That is not always an option. And while Powerboost is useful, buffs will obviously boost more than just the main pools (though the boost to mind is nice).
Plus, I am thinking in terms of the overall situation. If I am having problems in getting in fights with no Docs around, then so are my guildmates and allies with me. Thus, from a wider perspective, Doc is more practical.
Besides, I am aware of no TKs who can sit in the starport meditating and powerboosting for money...LOL

After just consulting the All Powerful SWG Profcalc I realised I can got Master Rifle / Master Pikeman / TK 4 0 0 4 / 1 0 0 0 Medic.. Woot!.. I can relax now... I think I can learn to live without Terain neg, its rare I go anywhere without a speeder anyhoo.
That's kind of what I have, but I just have novice medic and kept Ranged Support 1 for the /aim command, it can come in handy in pvp at times. Sometimes it's rough without scout, mostly because I'd like to help out my guildmates by harvesting stuff for them, but I've managed to survive so far.
Ack I just found The Hall on page 4 so I had to say something.

This is a lil' diddy I like to call "Nerfherder Cry", which is a dark tale about what if they get their wish. (Sung to the tune of Don McLean's "American Pie".)
A long, long time ago,
In a galaxy far away....
That rifle used to make me smile.
And I knew if I had my chance,
That I could make those Meatlumps dance,
Though maybe they'd be angry for a while.
But Publish Seven made me shiver,
With every death blow I'd deliver.
Good news from the Launch Pad,
But the nerf cries were gettin' so bad.
I can't remember if I cried,
When I read about the combat slide,
But nothing helped us from inside
That day, the rifle, died. So...
Bye, bye to the nerfherder's cry.
Drove my speeder to the levy but the mobs were too high.
An them good ol' boys were killin' rancors like pie.
Singin this will be the day that I die,
This will be the day that I die...
My 3000'th post, now bow before me Your new God!
OK heres a joke it's an oldie but goodie:
A man is sitting at a bar with a Foot tall guy with a piano next to him.
The bartender asks him "Whats with this?"
