Also, I've been wondering something. A couple of months ago, and several hundred posts ago I tried to make an effort to post more in the rifleman boards, mostly in vain hopes of becoming famous. I figured, being a rifleman I already have the booze, drugsand rock and roll, but I craved the fame as well. So I'm wondering if I'm a recognizable name around here yet? What I mean is, when you see a post by UWSkeletor, do you think, I've seen posts by that guy, he usually makes sense. Or do you think, who is that turd?
I know there's a few of you out there whom I consider recognizable, of course your posts are up in the thousands too. Also, have I made any enemies out there? Are there any He-Man's out there who wish to thwart me at every turn?
I also find thatit's harder now to give advice to people about levelling up, anyone else think that? What with conceal shot actually working now and bleeds being pretty worthless now, I'm not sure if the methods I used are any good anymore. My method was the "/tellpet Attack!" + flushing shot 2 method for the most part. It also included the unequipping my rifle and running around screaming until my pet got aggro or a group member got aggro method.
I think I'll try and post in here more often too, much more relaxing. And Pysco, if you need advice on your pikeman alt let me know, you should create him on Valcyn. I do fairly well with my pikeman/rifleman, although not because of any defensive bonuses, mostly because pikeman is basically a combat medic with a stick

Your posts, when they agree with mine, are insightful and thought provoking. Any others ...as if anyone could disagree with me ... would, of course, be less so.

Can't say I've heard of you before. Sorry. But then again I was on vacation for a month and prior to that wasn't post much in the Rifleman forum as I was deeply involved in the Wookiee Revolt.
But now that I'm back I'll keep an eye open for your posts.
Yes it is a bit harder to give advise on leveling. Mostly because so many things have changed since most of us did it. My prefered method was stack bleed, pull back out of range. Let it tick down to 1mind then go in and finish it off. It it aggro'd before you pulled far enough back you threw WarningShot at it to scare it off while the DoT did it's work.
The other basic method was the one you mention. But with the CH nerf, bleed nerf, MOB buff, etc. Those ways are not really as possible as they once were.
For those of you who wish to feed my dilusions of significance, you may have noticed my signature just changed. Over the last few days, I have been grinding out Medical XP to Master Doctor. This meant I had to drop Master Swordsman/Master Brawler.
I have to tell you, that was the toughest decision I have had to make in this game to date. Swordsman truly rocks for PvE, and I loved having it as a backup for my Rifle skills. However, I have been poisoned and diseased one to many times or had to enter into a PvP base or town defense without buffs because, in both cases, there were,too often, no Doctors available. So I have been contemplating this for a while. I think the last straw was when I pretty easily dispatched a CM in a PvP fight in Theed recentlyonly to get poisoned and diseased by him before he died, and the only Doc with our group had no cure packs. The CM cloned and came over to stand by me waiting for me to triple incap from the Posion/Disease combo. When that happened, he sent me a tell claming that he, in the end, won. Let's see, I killed him out right, I got faction, he did not, yet he won? As I said in my reply, "Hardly!" But I pretty much decided at that point that I was going to go Doctor.
I am telling you all this because, as some of you may recall from some previous posts (again with the dillusions), I said I have not even opened a holo because I enjoyed my build so much and I worked so hard to get there, that I had no intention of giving anything up from my build just to pursue Jedi. Well, after I had made the above decision, I went to the Weapons Research Facility on Naboo to do some faction farming, and I got my first looted holo (I gave my "gift" holos from the holidays to my son's character). So I decided to open it up just to find out what it said. I started cracking up when I got the message that, to pursue my quest for the force, I should become.....
a Master Doc.
Talk about fate. I still have no intention of pursuing Jedi, but I may open another holo just to see what it would have said, but I thought I would share this with you because I was laughing my butt off imagining some Dev had read my posts and decided to torment me. LOL

I am presently pursuing Master Medic and Ranger to go with the psycho Rifleman. I am very happy with the set-up. My guild and I hunt quite abit and it is nice to buff, heal, kill, and set up camp for my brothers and myself. I figure there are enougn tanks around that I don't have to worry about melee.

I know Meditate isnt nearly as effective as having the doc skills but I really don't want to give up my combat skills to take it up, it must have been a really tough choice for you to make.. maybe sometime in the future I may try out Doc, maybe.. and thats a big maybe.. But I can see where you are coming from.
UWSkeletor, I'm having a ball with Pike dude... So much more fun than TK and the 6ft Pike looks so much better in the hands of my Wook than a set of VK's heh! I'd like to keep the Defensive line in TK as you have also done but I don't know if I can manage without any Terrain Neg or Novice medic.. haha! See you on the Pikeman Forums.
