Well this is a great result! I and i'm sure all rifleman are very pleases that you decided to meet us half way and it shows that through a healthy dialogue between playes and developerscompromises can be madewhich keep both sides happy. You listened to us, evaluated the evidence and addmitted that you were wrong and for that we thank you! I hope that many other problems can be solved through the same kind of dialogue and teamwork.

Without the HAM lowered it doesnt matter to me.



The most important thing is HAM Cost!!!

We cant heal mind which our specials lower. But other classes can spam all day with out any thought to it. They can heal action or health.


HAM cost must be lowered.

Someone with the numbers available should do up the math.


Take today's T21 and give it AP3.


How would that compare to the current Laser Rifle?


What things are in the game where having AP3 would be a significant improvement over AP2?

Well I believe HAM cost is one of our 6 issues this month, so I would expect to see it addressed there.

OK when you guys say "lower HAM costs" are you referring to the rifle's or the cost of specials?



I personally believe all rifle specials HAM costs should be lowered not jsut specifically the T21's.

Just a quick question, will t21's bought yesterday have they're damage ratings adjusted? Just wondering cos i know some people bought brand new t21's yesterday and had them sliced for up to 600+ damage. Since the min and max damage has been lowerd on all new t21's when the AR3 rating is restored will the ones from yesterdaybe Uber rifles?


If so i hope i can get my hands on one!

Wishful thinking bro, but remember we are rifleman not Bounty Hunters, no love for us just nerfs massive nerfs, that are uncalled for then an OOOPS **edit** we messed up, how about we give you 1 out of the 4 things we took away from your classes Weapons, we are even now yes? They can shove that AP3 where the sun dont shine.

This makes the T21 better than the laser rifle in most cases, but WON'T produce the kinds of ugly scary numbers in PvE you've been seeing.

When using DPS calculations/comparisons, it is important that you take into account that the first shot happens at the zero second mark (front loaded damage). You can not just use a straight DPS comparison and assume that two weapons with the same DPS are balanced.


Hypothetical example (assuming 100% hit rate for both weapons):


Rifle with 100 DPS vs. Pistol with 100 DPS -- Rifle shoots every 5 seconds, Pistol shoots every 2.5 seconds. Over a30 second period say, which is a reasonable length of time for a fight.


Both hit at zero second mark --Riflehits for500 damage, Pistol hits for 250. Rifle then hits at the 5, 10, 15, 20, 25, 30 second marks for a total of 3500 damage. Pistol hits at the 2.5, 5, 7.5, 10, 12.5, 15, 17.5, 20, 22.5, 25, 27.5, 30 second marks for a total of 3250 damage.


Convert that back to DPS and you get 116.67 DPS for the rifle, and 108.33 DPS for the pistol --this is a more accuratecomparison of the two weapons than the 100 DPS vs. 100 DPS you would get by simply comparing average damage per second.

Thank you for posting this in the right forum


Thank you for taking peoples concerns into consideration. However, I do think the damage and speed need looking at again. I still also feel that the mind pool should be treated as the 3rd health pool its supposed to be instead of a strange exception. I hope from reading between the lines that some more of the factors surrounding using the mind and damaging the mind pool in particular, are being looked at. Also our other specials that dont effect that pool, and dont actually work, get looked at.
