Thread: RIFLEMAN ARE GIMPED
Log shows you DB'ing me twice. You might have got me4 times that night, wait your pet might have got me 4 times that night, but when I did this log you got me twice. Like I said before I dont care enough to doctor up some logs to make my class look better then it is. It actually makes no sense at all. Take the logs for what they are, if you think that kind of damage is gimped so be it.
I am chuckling that someone who says Rifleman are gimped can remember each and everytime they kill me like it is something special. Envy is the best compliment, thanks Leiser.
Silverlobo, maybe next time you should go up to them, talk trash about thier families, thier backgrounds and even tell them you are going to kill thier cat, then smack each of them in the face with a large metal gauntlet, and prompltly challenge them both to duels at the OK Corral at High Noon. You know, make it fair, so they have a chance to knock you down and spam you with specials.
To the 2 of you coming here and whining that he is bragging about his conquests, learn to read. He is posting his log to prove a point about PvP damage. Honestly, I doubt very seriously any of us actually LOOKED at the names, we were more looking at the NUMBERS he hit for. Some people actually do log thier damage and post it to show the community a POINT. Not that he owned you, but to prove a point to a fellow rifleman that said the damage they do in PVP is lame and gimped. He was providing evidence to the contrary.
Please, stop being paranoid. There are no aliens in Area 51, and the world, contrary to your belief, does NOT revolve around you. If you can't handle being attacked 24/7, at anytime, anywhere, go covert and watch your flags.

And to tell you the truth, I did notice him and decided not to fire upon him because there was no reason to. I don't kill someone just for the hell of it. Just because one has the ability to attack at any time doesnt mean there's always reason to. Try a little humanity sometimes. It doesnt seem a lot of people know what that word is. He has proven himself to be a griefer which is against the rules and this post is against forum rules to. There's nothing more to do about it now than hope there's more decency out there than is posted here.
Okay. So, you're running a Rebel mission, you get to your mission, and you tab the mobs...and one of the mobs is a player. A red-dot player, as in aggro to you. He's standing in the middle of the lair...and because you are 'humane', you let the guy kill you? Wait, but you were planning to kill all those poor red-dot, aggro NPCs - how humane is that?!

Perhaps I'm misreading this, but this sure doesn't sound like you knew 'tard boy' (very original, by the way) was hiding behind the lair.
I'm not sure why you get the impression that the entire Riflemen board readers care that you got killed. I don't care about the tactics involved. I don't care you feel it's unfair. You guys aren't that important to the majority of us. I can assure you that I had zero idea who you were until you started posting on this thread. What I care about is the things that are relevant to the board, which are the numbers over a typical PvP session of rifle damage. That is -precisely- what this log does, and that's the reason why the poster put it up, and that's why we're defending his right to put it up here. If you don't have anything constructive to add on the subject, I'm sure I'm speaking for most of us when I say we'd appreciate you not cluttering the board with useless text.

It really doesnt matter what damage you do when your shooting at 1-2 second intervals for 500-1500 damage. Also, if your grouped its even more irrelevant, and it actually helps more becuase your doing damage that others are doing
Wasnt he using a laser rifle? Or did I misread, T21 would not get those low shots.
Knockdown was besides the point, he was pointing out the damage rifleman do.

I dont send tells to people in PvP, I will answer back though. Little advice get your story straight. I have no desire to argue what I know is a fact on a message board. You know darn well who logged off in disgust that night.
As for putting me on ignore, that happends alot to me. Playing DAoC on Mordred I had to deal with people bitching and moaning all the time. If they wanted to send me a tell talking trash I was more then happy to engage in such. 9 out of 10 times they ended up putting me on ignore because they couldnt hack it.

If you can't handle PvP I suggest you stick to killing creatures. Killing members of the opposing faction is never griefing imo. There is a war going on.
you're right that was my bad you didnt send me whiney tells you followed me for about 30 minutes calling me a "noob" though..lol, I even saved the chat log of that date if you'd like me to post a screen of it 
And i never cry or complainwhen i get killed, its a game.. The only people i ignore are people who dont listen to reason and are 100% sure i was "cheating". Or people who follow me around calling me names like some 6yr old child(you).
And i dont recall logging out in disgust or if i even logged out???? Am i on your friend list?? Otherwise i dont know how you would know if did or not....

And in the midst of trash talking and flamingone point is missed. That being we're arguing over the damage of a person who is.
A: master rifleman
B: has what looks like one of the best guns his server can make.
So again I'll ask for those of us still trying to work our way up to master and if they see ONE more snorbal to grind are going insane from boredom.Or when we try to PvP get smacked thanks toour slower rate of fire since we can't 1 second shoot or SS2 waste an entire area.
What about us?
Silver it's all fine and dandy that you can do what you do, and personally I'm still sniping away to get to it myself. But while you make a fine arguement about master riflemen not being gimped non masters are still 20% underpowered till we get that last block. Even more so when the Valcyn T21's are 112-336 7.2 speed, and the fastest laser rifle I've ever seen had a 5.8 speed pre sliced.
The most I've EVER seen my T21 or laser rifle do was around 1700 using headshot3 or flurry1. If powered up with a 32% max I could get it closer to 2000, but on average all I do is 800-1100. Now if it's lack of a good gun or lack of skills with higher damage multipliers then I'll be patient and go look for a better smith or keep plugging away till I finally reach the area attacks. But to have a reasonable arguement about a profession being gimped or notyou can't just use the numbers of one master, you've got to look at the profession through it's whole progression.
