4) Pistol VS Rifle Ranged Accuracy – Pistols accuracy from 64 meters seems to be equal to the rifles accuracy at 64 meters. But when moving closer to a target, the accuracy on a rifle suffers, while pistols remain the same.

Both are equally inaccurate from max range. The difference is within maximum range.

excuse me? i don't udnerstand that

Oh Crap I just figured out Q-3PO rifle response.

Look at his answer:

Question:

Answer:

Crap. The Devs think that NO gun can hit at 64m, the chance to hit target calculations are bugged. Since the Devs won't publish the combat calculations we have assumed they are working, but they are 100% screwed up. There response to this will be to 'FIX' the bug and make a 0% or very low chance of hitting anything with an weapon at 64m. Right now every gun is hitting much more than the devs think it will. This predicted change will add a lot of frustration. What is REALLY scary is that anyone who has played this game knows exactly what is meant by question 4 the fact that the devs don't mean they just don't understand combat. Devs take tomorrow off and play SWG, your too isolated from your own product. Here comes a huge raged weapon nerf when the devs figure this out....

That was absolute sh*t!!!

**edit**?!

What happened to fixing block? What happend to making conceal shot useful? What happend to our concerns about melee defence? What happened to the ideas of adding precision shots H, A, or M at master rifleman? What happened to making the "concealment +20" actually do something? What happend to the T-21 getting fixed?

Aldeon, did you put ANY of the main concerns in your letter to Q? Everything except the first 2 is crap that either:

1. You knew he was gonna give a vague answer
2. Doesnt help our proffesion at ALL.

F*CK!!!

I think all the points posted were valid points for out class. And i personally think #4 and #6 were the largest issues for us that needed to be addressed.

Tek, first of all you need to calm down. Second of all didnt you quit? Your not a rifleman anymore. 3rd, they only answered my first report. Read what I said, they are only getting to one reprot a month. My 2nd reprot has other issues on it.

Melee defense? That was at about 50/50, alot of people have swordsmen, and they will not want melee defense removed.

READ WHAT I TYPE

THEY ARE ONLY GETTING TO ONE REPORT A MONTH

That was my first report, you didnt start posting your ideas till week 3, that means they will probably not be answered for antoher 2 months, unless they shape things up.

This might not be an actual "Rifleman" bug, but it directly affecst rifleman. One of the rifleman certifications is the T21 Rifle. Why is it that I reached the Rifleman levels over two weeks ago and am still unable to get myself a T21 Rifle? Before you rack your already overworked brains, let me tell you the answer. The resources (specifically alantium carbonate ore) is yet to be available. It looks like this rifle will be very affective for the rifleman, and it raises one question to me. Why is it that we can obtain a level within the game and not have the resources available to support that level? Is this a problem that we can see addressed in the next patch, or if not when?

No resources to make T21's on Radiant either. Will this issue ever get addressed? I doubt it.

Aldeon, didn't you bring up the T21 issue in LAST month problems? If so, how come it is not answered in that list? I thought you didn't include it in this month's issues because you had already submitted it last month...

How depressing is this? My two favorite combat classes get token responses by the devs... Maybe I should join the masses and be a pistoleer.

#4 should be resubmitted with better wording. Saying that rifles and pistols hit the same at 64 meters is the way it's designed to work, so it was a badly worded bullet.

The real problem is that there's not enough difference in a "-50" modifier anda "+50" modifier. A master pistoleer and master rifleman seem to both hit about 95% of the time at all ranges regardless of what the modifier states.

Even saying that rifles become less accurate with range is not, in my experience, true. I don't even bother paying attention to range anymore because I can't tell a difference between my hit rate at 10m and 50m, even if the ideal range of my rifle is 50m.

When I was fighting Jaxes, I'd hit them while running while they were at -50 and I'd rarely miss.

IMO the wording should be this:

4) We are not seeing enough difference in the hit rate for a modifier of -50 versus +50 when fighting a target. This is true of all weapons, not just rifles, but it hurts us the most. Ideal range of 50 meters is no real range advantage if this modifier is completely overwhelmed by other skills.

There needs to be a "long shot" penalty for the pistol. One akin to the "point blank"penalty rifle users get. It appears hard coded. There is no way in hell I'm hitting 75% of the time even on a dwarf nuna are less than 15m range with my laser rifle. Psitols should be the same from 50m+.
