I must've been thinking about the cool-down timers. Is it possible to throw a headshot immediately after a snipershot?

alternatively,more accuracy so that our shots actually land most of the timewould increase our damage.


also if we increase the damage on the t21, which is master rifleman cert, then other professions cannot use it and our damage increases.


p.s. it would be great if we could get one small ability to go with one of our basic low damage specials. I say this becauseits interestinghow many people pick up novice pistoleer 0003 (root) , or novice carbs 0030 (knockdown), and many that can't manage that still go 0001 pistoleer or 0010 carbineer for part of their overall template but i dont' know anyone who feels that 1 box or 3boxes in rifleman add anything to their template, and the worst part is i would have to agree with them! Can we get something like one of these or something else that is of a unique nature?

pertty much - still have to wait for the weapon recharge but it does not reset the timer on headshot when you fire snipershot

in theory if cover worked and conceal shot worked this should be a draw like root or knockdown. As it does not work right now not many people care to dabble for a broken skill.






still all ofcover, conceal and sniper would be useless in a duel,because by the time it was casted we'd be knocked down and it would just say unable to do while knocked down lol! Its a shame that supposedly some of our best skills are useless in a duel. Do you think that you can get something done about this? at least sniper so that we could use that without a warm up timer? we'd still have to be prone which would take time during a duel since u are made to automatically stand up in most situations, so i don't think it would be overwelming whatsoever....what do you think? which get me because at the moment he is certainly correct in that a master rifleman doesn't have as much going for it as a master carbineer. I do both pve and duels and I honestly believe that since we have the worst defence, we should most definitely have SOMETHING to compensate for that.

My opinion:

Generally about SWG:

1) All the proffessions complain.
2) Everyone seems to be asking to be more powerful, in some way or another.
3) Most people seem to confuse 2 things: real bugs and things they just don't like (that 90% of the time are working as intended)

About rifleman:

1) Cover up, Conceal Shot and Sniper Shot are most likely fine (I don't think that the lack of a "you fail to conceal because of the terrain" spam above your head means that it's necessarely bugged. No, SOE does not want us to dissapear off radar, use 5 conceal shots, and use sniper shot to finish off a creature by ourselves WITHOUT taking any damage, and being able to repeat this easily all the time a.k.a "Conceal and Sniper should work 100%" from some above posts.

2) We should not get any AoA or Crowd Control attacks. Personnaly, I'm glad to have dropped my pistoleer specials in favor of rifleman. Disarm, tee-ee, warning shot, hihi, burst shot, woopie, you're stunned.... lol. I never once got the feeling (in PvE anyway) that this stuff was saving my life. I'm not a big PvP'er, so let's say my rant is more PvE oriented. Most of the time, I winded up cycling bodyshot and quickdraw. Anyway as far as specials are concerned you can master another proffession or 2. And I'm pretty sure that the new CU is a way to encourage people to group. No one proff. is really complete, everyone has a specialty. SONY wants people to group, chat, make friends, and so on. It's clever marketing, and a way to keep people interested maybe... Anyway, I find the new grouping system really good.

3) I agree the hate system should be reviewed.

4) Cooldowns and warmups should not be shorter. With my (not even good) T-21, my speed is 1.77 and my DPS 483.38 (before adding a pup to it). Cycling specials seems fast enough for me.
And the damage output is great. I have Master Marksmen as well, and I use Headshot, Lethal Shot, Rapid Fire, and if situation permits, then prone, conceal, etc... And the thing I don't really get is this: if you're proned, covered up, you let off a concealed shot, and the creature doesn't break your cover, why should the cooldowns be faster? And after letting of a sniper shot, banthas my level were missing 1/3 of their health... at that point I'm not worried too much.

5) One last thing: I clearly remember all the proffessions (or most of them anyway) complaining before the CU as well. lol Nothing's perfect...

dps with a 27% speed pup with -10 general ranged accuracy is 720

not sure of my dps with my 108 general ranged accuracy food that lasts 17 mins

id say give our weapons an armor break ability built into them. (master weapons only) Or give us an armor break ability that u have to be prone to do, has a warmup and cooldown, Like snipershot. Master only ability, so other range pros cant dabble into our specials.

I like the idea of an armor break, but put it at master rifles so the other professions cant easily "steal" it

Ideas for making riflepeople nukers

Change the restriction on Sniper shot from prone to it roots you during warm up so you can use it while standing. Increase its cool down so it can only be used every 6-10 seconds. Allow conceal and cover to work while kneeling. Prone and cover have never been practical in this game and that’s the problem, we are defined as nukers by two specials that have very little practical use due to the prone restriction.

Increase the damage multiplier of improved head shot to bring it up to par with other professions best work horse special. I think specials were assigned damage multipliers before the CL system forced the level weapons certification. So some of them were set with the assumption that they could only be used with a lower damage weapons not that any level 54 could use the most damaging weapon in the game.

Make all weapons over level 30 profession specific.

we have two states right? startled and snared. one is broken, and one is semi-useful. other professions are state applying whores, so i say increase our damage as that's all we have.(by ourselves)


and for gods sakes do something to make conceal shot and sniper actually useable!
