We have one of the most recognisable weapons in the starwars world to our disposal, the E11 could also be modified for sniper use. For instance in Jedi Knight,...Mysteries of the Sith I believe, you could retrieve a modified E11, or a sniperscope.....I cant exactly remember wich it was, was so long ago...you could actually go sniping with that E11 with high powerd slow shots. Then there was one of the Comics I read, Splinters of the Minds eye....Leia tried to snipe down Vader, though she missed and only grazed his cape. (weither that is due to the E11 or her being a bad shot..I prefer the second option =] ).

Let me know when you do the Commando template too. I'm kind of interested in it. Though before that it has to be decided if Commandos are going to be like real Commandos or be Hvy Weapon specialists.

As for the "essence" of the Commando, I see no reason why we can't make it into a blend of a "Commando" (i.e. Navy SEAL, DELTA Operator,Ranger, etc.)and a Heavy Weapons Specialist. Good luck. Commandos suffer a bit of an identity crisis I believe. Half want hvy weapons, the other want real Commando style abilities. In many cases they don't blend. You're going to have your work cut out for 'ya but best of luck.
However that question absolutely needs to be answered before they can be fixed.

Just a quick comment on the Block animation- there is an animation for it in-game. However, I do not recall having ever seen it with a rifle in my hands. With a Polearm, that's a totally different story. I'd say the animation looks like it'd fit just fine with rifles too, so if brought to the Devs' attention(and if they care enough to fix it), I would think this should be a very simple fix. Like the SS2 animation. But better.

great post Karden. I haven't actually started my rifleman yet, i need a third acount first, so i don't know how it is currently. If all or any of these ideas get implimented then i think i will love rifleman.

Thought Ide bump this once more, the recent news that our elected correspondant wont be out there ( althought Im glad Guruweaver will be out there to fight the battle for us, remind me to send cookies ^_^) was very unfortunate
