Thread: Rifleman offence:5 is it true? (CU concerns)

THe MAJOR problem of rifleman, is that they should not be able to shot if the target is less than lets say, 25m.

Right now, we own from every where.



not flaming you or anything but when i went to paintball one rule was no shooting eachother under 30 yards i had peopel sneaking up and planting a few rounds on my back at point blank range but this is a game and games have rules and if we get no shoting under 25m make some of our shots invisible or something its like that



SWG in a nutshell
SWG is like a big hill, you spend ages going up it and then find you cannot even go over the top

I suspect that once every shot other then conceal shot breaks cover and the partical effects being visible that cover will still be useful but not overpowering as it is now.

The rooting is going away from us completely I think... they want us to use our speed reducer (kneecap shot)****



Hi Ackehece. Saw your post and thought I would ask a question. When you say rooting is going away from us coimpletely, I assume you mean the roots in Riflemen? Its still very easy to get a decent root by just adding novice smuggler to any template. This I believe will cause balance problems, though I'll be happy to continue this template. As much as I'd like to see it stay, I would assume they will be moving this up the smuggler tree to make it less effective...

/tar riflename I keep posting as a bug - no response but I believe (to the core of my being) that it is a bug and will continue to treat it as such


conceal shot is now the only shot that does not break cover on tc (but the regen rates on most targets are to high to take advantage of it .... T_T)


Roots may or may not be transferable to other profession and profession weapons once the next balance pass goes through. If that is the case then roots would work only within the confines of the weapons of the profession that had the special.


My solution (and possibly a reason to keep SL's around ) is a little different - Give SL's the ability to cancel roots with their form up commands.

I don't think we need roots in this game but this is a good idea if they are going to force it on us anyways...
