i recently broke down and got a T21, a laser rifle, and a spray stick from probably the best weaponsmith in my galaxy (total price 115k). the spraystick is over 40 dps (unsliced and unmodded)which is the highest of the 3 but has no armor piercing. i am upset becasue the bowcaster(also no armor piercing)maxed out will never be as good (comes close but based on visible stats isnt as good) as any of these maxed out weapons and this means that Chewbacca a rifleman uses a second rate crap weapon(not a very happy thought). Would you please let me know if there is any reason why i should use a bowcaster instead of any of these weapons in any given circumstance. Am i missing something here? For now i've put my bowcaster an extremely dificult weapon to make in my trophy case at home for safe keeping. Also could you tell me what your weapon of choice is?

Im not quite sure what stats are possible on the bowcaster, Im betting if you were a master weaponsmith it would turn out ten times better. So, if you can find a wookie master weaponsmith, then you will get an awsome bowcaster. But in the end the bowcaster isnt as god as alot of the other rifles. Especially when people start wearing armor, alot of people I have talked to see it as a trophy weapon, something in there house, or something they bring around with them and equip it to show it off.

My weapon of choice depends on the situation. I have in my backpack, every single weapon available on StarSider. In PvE, I will use wich one will do the most damage. So if something doesnt have cold resists, but does have energy I may use my SG82 instead of the resdt of my weapons. Or if theres no stun, Jawa Ion Rifle, ect. If the T21 was availavle to me, I would use it nearly all the time. The bad thing about us, is mind drain, alot of times half way through the fight, Im in the back sitting down watching it go down. Half the time some random BH or Rifleman will come close, and hit me for a small amount of damage incapping me. So with the T21, Im thinking Ill have around 10 total shots in a fight, so chances are ill use a DLT20a, or Spraystick to dish out my AE dizzys. (Our group works together I ae dizzy, they ae kd) Then switch to my T21 to dish out the main course of th damage while there all laying down. Then if there still alive, I go to the back of thr group and sit down for 2 minutes.

RIght now I use the Laser Rifle almost all the time. I do anywhere from 100-1500 damage with that, Its awsome.

Regardless of your answer i find rifleman to be extremely fullfilling and i am almost a master armoursmith and only picked up weaponsmith so i could make qlty bowcasters depending on your answer i may be dropping weaponsmith entirely. By the way you are doing a better job as correspondent than any of the others i've seen in the other forums. the weaponsmith totally boched his job with his last requests the armoursmith one is doing a really good job but so far you're the best i've seen and i'm gratefull for your efforts. I just hope the devs extend the range of rifles beyond that of pistols and carbines because rght now its pretty silly that they can shoot as far as a long range weapon.

thx

Bump rifle range to atleast 100meters.

What are the stats on the Bowcaster. I have been soloing alot of things just using my bowcaster.

Ald i wanted to get your opinion on the whole "stealth"/ghuille suit idea(or any idea that blocks us from radar)

Think its possible in the future?

well you can't say SoE is just in it for the money, because if they were they would open up classic servers and double thier income.

Honestly...no. The reason radar is put in, is to make it so everyone has the same advantage, and cheaters dont create a system that makes radar for you. If this were put in, not everyone would use it, but other rifleman would.

I do think adding a ghuille suit, to give you more camofluage/defenses would be put in, at a much later time. There so many bugs, and so much more things to work on, a Ghuille suit would be a rare thing to happen right away, when its proposed, it will be atleast put onto there mind.

First off I would like to thank you Al for the work you have been doing. It is really appreciated

My question is in regards to the report you submitted. It was submitted a few weeks ago now and I was wondering if there has been any feedback from the Devs yet?

Thanks in advance.

It takes them nearly a month to get to it, plus my email is down...

Hi Aldeon,

Just want to say your tips and strategies have definitly helped me on my way to master sharposhooter (getting close!) and thanks.

Anyhow, I have a question about our AOE attacks. Are all meant to do damage and negative effects or dmg on just the targeted mob andneg fxon every mob in the AOE?

I was trying out macro experiments on some close groups of gnorts and kreetles, and i noticed that my AOE attacks hit the group and put fx on the mobs, but only the one I targeted was dmg'd. For some reason i always thought they were dmg + fx from hunting on Dantooine, but that doesnt seem to be the case.

thx for the help!

I answered it in your other thread, its a well known bug. It happens with all ae styles, the effect will go, but the damage sometimes will not. Such as ae dizzy, or ae kd, all targets will get the dizzy effect, or every target will get knocked down, but sometimes they will not take damage, even though its in the combat window.

Here is my question.... Whats the point of suprise shot? I thought this was a devistating attack that had the handicap of forcing you to be under cover. Well you might nieed to be under cover (forgot to test) the dmg on this attack is suprising low considering. I think i hit using suprise shotthe dmg was the same as head shot3 but on random pools. Now since this attack is HIGHER on the skill tree and forces you to be under cover why is this attack less effective? Strafe shot 2is a master shot but it is an AE attack, i would assume this attack should do the same dmg jsut to one target.... Whats your opinion with the newly fixed suprise shot?

Q1: Is AP broken only in PvP or also in PvE?

Q2: Was this fixed in last patch?

I have a question...

If our 3,000+ dmg 9.9 speed pre-nerf T-21 scared the Devs to the point where they had to nerf the heck out of it, how come they just presented BHs with a 10,000+ dmg 4.4 speed weapon?

I think you need to check out the following link and use your correspond abilities to see if a dev can explain their reasoning behind this...
