Same here, it has lead to some people speculating that the PC Jedi skills are not in the game yet.
It could also be because this command is from the open beta and Jedi testing was only done in-house and not by open beta testers.

I have a feeling that there is almost 0 jedi code in the current client of the game.
Once you have unlocked the force slot its alot like an expansion pack. They will make you download a patch once your account is flagged for a force sensitive slot.
For instance in daoc you can play the game w/o shrouded isle expansion and you can still group/interact with necromancers even though you are unable to play one yourself. The reason theywould have donethis is because they realize how easily people can extract information from the client in a game like this, this is just my theory about it anyways.
All these arguments are very nice, but it's dodging the original issue: yes, free pets for everyone hurts riflemen more than anyone else. Not all engagement are 1 vs 1, some are 2 vs 2, 3 vs 3, 10 vs 10, etc. If a pet gets up to smack a pistoleer, it's not a big deal.
But even a L15 pet will put a hurt on a rifleman due to the 2.5x damage multiplier that only we suffer, and while I understand this penalty I do not understand why it doesn't apply to carbines and pistols.
actually, the best pet a non-ch can have is a perlek scavenger
2.7k ham, 170 attack, ranged damage, and medium armor to blaster fire. although it lists no resistances on screen, go to lok, find one, put your combat tab up and shoot at it. the damage above its head and the damage on the combat tab is the same, meaning it has hidden medium armor(this is with laser rifle btw). they are a much more grave threat. the least i have killed them with is 3 shots. (im a 3/1/1/2 rifleman) be happy people use gurrecks and not the real CL15 pets.
I think that may be a bug with the AP system rather than a hidden stat.
If I remember correctly there was a post explaining that AP only works ontargets that have resist to the damage type you are doing. So ifyourtarget has 1% energy resist you will get your AP2 bonus when using a laser. However if your targethas 0 energy resist you will not get the AP2 bonus from your laser rifle.

of course you don't have a lightsaber so you won't be able to execute a saber throw but it's there
and if you look in the macros you see alot of jedi command icons
It may very well be that they've turned off the FS slot for the first few months but I find it more likey that it is just extremely hard to open it......anyway back to rifleman discussion ![]()
Umm..let me **edit** this sidetracking in the butt so we can get back to the real issue.
It is not possible to unlock the FS under any circumstances yet. The very first patch took whatever it is that made that possible, out. There are-zero- jedi.
