Thread: Getting Ripped off on XP

Folks that say you get no exp unless the damage type you do, is leads to the ultimate death of your target is just not true. If that is the case then /bug report it, cause in every group i've been in, where 2 or more players have done some damage to a mob have gotten exp in the manner that I explained in my previous post, I've never recieved Zero xp if I did atleast the minimum I can do in one shot to a mob regardless of where it hit and what damage type killed it.
In the example of the Tusken mobs, if the mob is dying in seconds and you can only get one shot off, a couple things must be happening.
1. There are alot of people in your group and everyone is getting rather poor xp. Killing a tusken in less then the time for a riflemen to get 2 shots off is pretty fast.
2. You are grouped with people far too high level.
I know for a fact that if you do all but 1 point of damage to the mind when the creature dies to the loss of all hits health, and loses no action, you will get basically half the creatures predetermined XP.
I have filled in sniping 2, conceal 1, and counter-snipe 1, plus support 1 in the rifleman tree. I've killed alot of mobs in alot of ways with alot of group configurations, on almost all the stars. My theory of exp, has always worked, is it perfect probably not, but it's always worked for me. Maybe I've been lucky shrug...all I know is that there seems to be something missing here if you are getting ZERO xp from damaging a mob. My guess is Bug, one that I have never seen thoughout my travels.

But that is incorrect. You get an amount of xp proportionate to the amount of damage you did to the mob, regardless of which of its HAM bars was reduced to zero.
