Sorry, 2 hours is BS. Enough said.
First time I mastered it was my first Elite Combat Profession, and it took me about 4 weeks. Mainly killing wild spawns on Endor.
Second time it tookme 1 week hunting once a day for around 2 hours again killing wild spawns on Endor.
The thing I like about Endor is...it's not the same old 'Get your missions, drive to lair, kill the lair, drive back, get your missions, drive to lair.....etc.' You can just treck around the hills picking off wild creatures, and it really feels like your big game hunting. Its alot more fun than doing lairs.

I am about to master Rifleman from scratch (my initial profession was Medic).
It took a buff or two to get to novice Rifleman then I spent a couple sessions (3-4 hours a day) lobbing grenades at Quenkers to max the XXX4 branch. Now 3-4 days later I'm sitting at 4334 and about to go get my last 2 boxes and then Master. In the same time I have made it to 4040 Scout, 1000 Medic, Marksman 4004, Brawler 2000and 0211 Creature Handler. I have the combat xp to pick up Novice Commando already, too (just need to get unarmed and Marksman finished). This character is less than a month old and I'm already close to Master Rifleman.I have learned about a lot of the shots and how they effect things. I'm using a combination of Headshot3 and FlushingShot2 depending on the power of my target or PointBlankArea when I get surrouinded by the pesky Quenkers Ravagers or Savage Quenkers. Now I just need to figure out where I can make lots of money to buy a better T21, DXR-6, or any other rifle I may need.

Don't know if this has been mentioned yet.. for Combat xp use grenades.. even the C-12 no cert ones will give you 300K combat xp in one buff.
That's your speed tree in 2 buffs max if you're playin around. The rest comes easy then.. speed sliced T-21 and Damage sliced Spraystick.
I've been doing about 300K xp a night.. Just opened 2nd slot so I'm bringing junior up for about 1 week so far.
Between Commando BH Smugg and Rifleman I'm happy with the results.
Should only take1 week max on one buff per night if you arent trying to kill yourself doing it.
Good Luck

I started Rifles awhile ago, but then took a pretty long break, came back three days ago with 2 boxes left till Master and finished itu p tonight. Total time was probably like 2 weeks, without any combat xp.

I did it in about 18 hours from novice marksman. This is with maxed combat xp though. And to the guy who said he did it in two hours...Yeah you cant bs a bser man. There is no way you can grind any elite profession that fast. "oh i had a master rifleman to teach me" Doesn't matter.

My first time (pre-buffs/armor/T-21) about 2-3 months. This time about 2 weeks of maybe an hour or 2 a night for around 10 days. Started with 0-0-0-2 in rifle and didn't bother with grenades. I'm also a master fencer so if I was getting beat up a little - a quick switch and I was safe. Sooo happy I picked it back up. My favorite proff I've done since launch.Even like it better than even BH/pistoleer. For me (as a causal gamer) it's much simpler to have powerful shots like HS3 Mind3 if I'm attacking mind or SS2 for a kick @ss shot to health/action. I'm learning alot more about the ins/outs of being a rifleman from being on here ever day! Kudos all.

A great thing to do whilst grinding Rifles is to ask Docs, ASs, BEs and Chefs if theres any good meats or hides about. If you are lucky then there will be a good resource that drops from a mob that drops a nice chunk of resource and gives nice xp. If the resource sells well you can potentially make millions whilst grinding.
