Yes but do you actually know the profession? The advantages, the disadvantages, the effectiveness of the specials and when to use what? Rifleman is not all about HS3. lol

8 months.
Release to Feb. Most of it was solo, then I started grouping on Dath and really flying through the xp.

Having gave up my previous account as a MBH sometime ago Ive been working towards Master Rifles/MBH on a new toon.
Began from scratch 5 days ago &mastered Marksman & 1000 Rifles. Early days yet.
Ive made discoveries which I put to good use, e.g. Warning shot. If this sticks the critter runs off for awhile. This also comes in handy just for playing around with......critter comes in Mind Shot 2, Warning Shot & off he goes.....Mind Shot 2..here he comes again...Warning Shot...there he goes.
I can see my grindings going to take a long time but am trying out different shots to fully integrate my character.
Hopefully by the time ive reached MR/MBH Ill be well acquainted with both professions & use them to the full.

I see this so much lately in so many different forums. People grinding through, rushing to get master and then a month or two into their attaining the master tag they are asking these really easy questions that are already answered in the stickied FAQ. Not ripping on anyone, to each their own, they can play the game the way they want. I guess I am just shocked over these last couple days of some of these questions being posted.

It took me 9h to become Master Rifleman.
I started as Master Marksman and had some combat xp to fill the first to boxes in rifle to 0-0-0-2

Took me about a day and a half (no, not 36hrs :smileyindifferent
marksman rifles took the longest, then from novice to master rifles, with nearly maxed combat xp, took a couple buff sessions.

People claiming that they mastered in like 9 hours are so full of bs, that's just not possible. I really don't see the reason why people say stuff like this, think people will go like ''wow you're uber'' or something? Nah not really
Anyways.. I mastered in 2 weeks I think at the battlefield on corellia
Oh and the original poster, come on.. 2 hours? that's just too funny
or maybe he's talking about rifles I-IV

It is not as impossible as it seems.
I was very surprised, how quick you can gain rifle xp with the right preparation.
My toon started out as 0004 rifleman, a speed sliced t21 and a bunch of 33% speed PUs (additionally, he had +7 rifle speed attachments and master marksman from dropping commando).
Doing huurton huntress missions on dantooine (just spamming point blank area on the lair), I could fill two trees in one buff run (something over 3 hours).
