Well it's me the one who posted this, now in modern day warfare there is no more "rifle" that is common place by soldiers they were replaced by a cross betweent the submachine gun and the rifle the assault rifle a mid range weapon develped out of world war II the stg 44. Now back in WWI they needed rifles cause the trench warefare, but in modern warefare there is a lot of moving like in swg, and fast shooting is the way to go, the rifle was designed in swg as a sniper like weapon, not as a M14 or SKS, so therefore as a "sniper" you fall into the support other troops category, so for all of you yelling rifles blabla you are missing the point. This game was not designed around old world tactics civil war, revolutionary war, even WWI it revoles around fastmoving ever changing battlefields. So for all the real world comparisons, they aren't really lining up. You take a guy with a marine m24 (i think) rifle, and you place him in combat, his rifle is a bolt action not designed for rapid fire, now you take another rifle m14, and by rifle i mean centerfire non assalut rifle calibers, and you have a combat soldier, so there are many types of rifles, so before you assume all rifles were created the same they were not.
