Well, just had a little IMP vs Rebel action in anchorhead.

I got 1 shot incapped by a master rifleman that had the revenge TEF.

I had 800 mind and 53 percent composite helmet.

So, I'd say headshot (whatever number) does do decent damage.

You have a screenshot to prove this? The math I'm doing says otherwise. I dunno maybe my math is wrong but it's still hard to believe you without a screenshot.

I encounter riflemen so rarely that I don't have any shots, but I concur, a master with a T21 and HS3 can be a very serious player and can one-shot kill people with helms. Sometimes.

I've been Eye-Shot spammed to death while I was prone, covered and at 45m. If you ask me that's wrong, because the BH is using a Scatter Pistol. Scatter's should be powerufl up close, no argument there, but once the range exceeds 30m I feel the accuracy should be pathetic, to say the least.

On the upside, I'm a Doctor and curing Blind gives me XP so heh

Scatter optimum range is 17 meters. It's innaccurate but mg dabbler accuracy goes up to like 145, which means missing is a rare occasion even in a blind state from long range, while running.

I completely and utterly agree. As of late I've run into a few BH's with Eyeshot during PvP battles, and even though I got the first shot in, I died every time (evenwhen I'm prone, covered, and he's just running around), even when there are TWO rifleman on him, at least one of us dies and the other has to be careful or he will too.

Now, I wouldn't havea problem with this, if it weren't for the fact that it's an ability given to a profession that is not supposed to be able to do insane mind damage. For some reason, everyone thinks that the "vision" of Bounty Hunters is that they're deadly because they do insane damage. The problem is, that's not it, they're deadly because they can hit any of your pools, taking advantage of your weaknesses. Players and the Devs alike need to realize that.

Personally, I don't even care that it uses action and hits mind, just for the love of Pete, slow it down by literally 200%-300%, or cut the damage by -50%. Currently it hits for 100-150 every second, while as an almost-master Rifleman, with a 500 damage 5.1 speed T21, I hit for 200-300 every 5 seconds, and that's not including the fact that they can run around and hit be every time, while I'm lucky to land every hit while prone.

Something has to be done. I hope Aldeon reads this, because he needs to get this message to the Devs for us. Changing Eye Shot to using up mind for the shooter does not fix the problem at all, they still do way too much damage with it.

LOL, nice reply to Jybisu, Fred.

Snipers are - if erroneously applying RL examples - one-hit killers, so if we use RL logic, they should be able to kill anybody with a single headshot... actually, I think a Master Rifleman SHOULD be able to kill anybody with one headshot, as a tradeoff for their utter inadequacy at any other range and when others actually fire back. ~J
