Show me a pistol that can be fired faster than a carbine or rifle in real life. Pistols hold less ammo and fire at a slower rate except a select few full autos out there. Carbines and rifles are usually either semi or fully automatic with a longer range and better accuracy. Unless you are talking about hunting or sniper rifles which are bolt action which shouldn't apply here cause we can't hide 1k m from our target and one shot them.
