I tried pistols, carbines and rifles.
With rifles, I died much less often, so I pushed that skill tree and I think I'll be a rifleman for a long time !
Very funny to play in group, I'm the one that do not tank and die
For solo, I became CH and I'm never alone

i started out playing this game last july, joined my guild and started my first 2 professions which were artisan and architect. at that time noone cept for 1 really had any interest in arch, and he bailed from it after i got a few boxes finished. i ended up building most of my guilds first city and factories, harvs etc. But i had huge trouble running my harvesters, as there would be many hermit spiders, shaupauts and those super annoying capper spineflap soldiers etc just sitting there waiting for my gimped character to happen upon them.
i had a few skill points left after i got some merchant for my couple of vendors so i decided i needed something to help defend myself. that turned out to be rifles. i had tried pistols but they simply couldnt do the job, carbines never entered into the equation. rifles were perfect for me, so i got what boxes i could till i maxed out on points. now i could get to my harvs without calling on my guildmates to clear them for me.
later on in november, i decided i had had it with crafting, so i dropped artisan and arch and picked up a profession i was longing to try and that was CH. i went on a couple of guild hunts and my co-guild leader was BiggDogg which was a master CH. loved how he could tank for us allowing us to blast the mobs etc andi was going to finish rifles.
i accomplished my tasks and have not looked back. i have been with rifles since before they were fixed, seen both sides of the fence and dont think ill ever drop it, even if the devs gimp it again, it just suits my playstyle.

When I first got the game back in August and read the manual, I wanted to be a Teras Kasi artist/Bounty Hunter, thinking that I would be able to hunt Jedi (which I assumed would be a selectable class, one that everyone would be
).
Then I started playing the game and found out I couldn't. I began levelling marksman and used the rifle. I saw that one of the specials was 'Headshot1', which brought to mind games such as Counterstrike and Unreal Tournament, where if you score a headshot on an opponent, the announcer growls out, 'HEAD SHOT!!!' The thought of headshotting opponents was too cool for school. (Especially when full PvP damage was on, I could prone on the hill in Anchorhead and headshot2 people for thier entire mind pool
Three months later, when I mastered Rifle, nothing could have ever prepared me for its uberness. I got into PvP and have been thrilled with the results.
Rifle is one of the three professions I've ground out in my SWG career, and I'll never give it up, no matter what nerfs come.

I have only been playing for a month and a half now. I dabled with a few professions initially. I tried the rifle tree in marksman and there was not turning back. I am currently novice rifleman and even so early on, I can take down a quenker in only 2 shots - thats about 3K xp per kill. I plan on going MR and MCH with medic skills to support. I am 4 0 4 0 in scout and with mask scent on, I was able to camp out about 50m from a slice hound lair and take them about for about 30mins while they continuosly spawned. I wasnt detected once even though they spawned in multiples 5m from me. It just felt so cool.

well basicly i became a RifleWoman when T21 finally became available on Bria. I wanted a T21 and be able to use it.
i do drift to other skills now and then like my latest jaunt into hologrinding went from 8 professions done to 19 in a few weeks. now im again sick of the grind and im redoing rifles tonite. so i put up the RifleWoman tag again in my sig cuz i will be there faster than it takes to come back and edit it.
i know the ins and outs of rifles as well as i do CH they are my favorite professions. but ive also been rifles since day one but didnt master it fully until the T21.

Well at day 1, I started trying for Commando because I like to deal damage. Started moving through the marksman trees and fell in love with rifles, upon hearing that commandos were borked and really didn't do damage and the real damage dealers were riflemen; I began the climb. Now I am looking for a secondary proffession, tried some CH, some Carbine, some pistol, and working on TK now. I think though I will end up with 2hand because it is also a damage dealer.
But you never know I may join PyscoJugg with pikes.

well for 1 reason, its just WAY TO MUCH FUN to get in range of a target (say an even con target), go prone, and drop them with HS3 or even strafe2 sometimes, before they even have the time to figure out what is going on. Or when the mob does realize pretty quickly that you just tapped half of his mind with 1 or 2 shots and comes running at you, and you then drop the mob right as it gets to your feet with another HS.
**none of this is using concealshot, I am not talking about killing or ways to kill big mobs here. Just saying what makes rifleman just kick a** fun to play somedays.

Well, originally I chose Rifleman because in beta the most powerful weapon, to everyones knowledge were looted Tusken Rifles... When I became comfortable with the professions with beta, I carried it over to release.
Then I dropped it, because I saw the power of Carbineer + BH Carbine.
After my vacation from SWG, I came back and saw the state the game was in.
RIfles now have:
The most powerful weapons
The speed cap with ANY rifle and ANY weapon, pretty easily.
Not only the most damaging specials, but a lot of very useful ones too
Lots of yummy defenses
An AP1 gun
Simply, they're uber.

For me it was rather simple. I like rifles in RL. I collect them. So it made sense to pick it up in game too. Once I had it I liked so much I've kept it ever since.
