I choose rifles because in any game I choose Sniper, and rifles were the closest thing resembling it in this game...even tho rifles were pretty gimped and nerfed back then...I still did it...because its just darn cool

Back in my Mos Espa dancer days I remember seeing my first T21 and thinking "Wow thats a big gun!" That was back when rifleman sucked (like august I think...), and I knew it and didn't care cause I wanted to use one of those guns

I chose rifles because, to me, strategy is not about running in to the middle of a group of people and banging away until only one person is left standing or running around shooting people firing off as many shots as you can until someone is dead. It is about selecting a target, finding the best position from which to kill it, dispatch it, and move on to the next victim. I
Yeah, it is fun standing toe to toe with things and prevailing, but I would much rather imagine my opponent waking up in the cloning center thinking, "What just happened?"

The game is not built for stealth and one shot kills, so we get speed instead. But the outcome is the same.

Mines a fairly similar answer to most others, It's the closest thing this game has to a Sniper and the Guns are big + Being a Wook and the Bowcaster being a Rifle it seemed like a good choice when I started out last August. I've really wanted to take up Pikeman as my Melee Componentbut have always been apprehensive because of all the bad banter, seeing as it seems Block finally seems to be working ( Yes I actually tried it and I did Block some melee attacks last night ) I think I'll bite the bullet and do it.. I really like big weapons and Pikes don't come much bigger..

I became rifleman, because I've heard that this profession can slay the mobs without letting them hit me.

I choose Rifleman becuase it owns, kills krayts, **edit**s up nightsisters, and able to have my way with any other content in this game. Sure I could say that 'Yep I was a rifleman since launch and **edit**, and blow smoke up everyones ass about how *cough* rough*cough* it was', but ill give you the straight facts on why most are rifleman. I was a carbineer for ages and it blows (insert otherdisgruntled pvpcombat classes, pistoleer, BH, commando, carbineer) Rifleman can destroy any other class out there, and takes absolutely no skill to spam HS3. Do I like rifleman? No. Do I have a choice when it comes to pvp? Nope its rifleman or dont bother. And the juicy part about it, i get more skills to make me even more dominateing! Doc, CM, and TKM come to mind. Im not here to bash rifleman (I am one), but damn I sure do get tired of killing nothing but rifleman. Anyways, heres my reason why I and most others became rifleman. No lies about how I was a rifleman back in June of 93 and **edit** LOL, just the honest truth. Flame on.

When I first started out as a newbie. I wanted to be a Rifle/Ranger. The idea was a simple one. Track down overt imperials, then snipe them before they new you were coming. This worked like a charm after I got used to how PvP works. I knew I could out-shoot any ranged profession, so I just had to learn how to keep my distance from all the melee's with thier KD attacks. I've loved it ever since.

Big game hunter needs a big gun. The hunt-with-a-pistol thing seemed wimpish. Too bad it sucked for alooooong time. I still remember horrable deaths to Crazed Durnis and Giant Gubber. Now I can kill Rancors... albeit, very carefully (not like a Swordsman or TKM, but now the ol' rifle is a good hunting tool, and no longer do others laugh at me )

Ranger is not a profession. It's a lifestyle.

Ah why I went rifleman.......

Well, I had dreams before release of laying prone on hill somewhere poping off Rebel traitors one by one.........

But radar and lack of Stealth took that dream away and my dream is now to run around taking out weak targets with my Full Auto Hell

My first day (around christmas) someone gave me a rifle and carbine to go with the cdef pistol from the tutorial.

I found I could kill stuff with the rifle but not the other 2. Then I discovered tusken rifles (when they were still kinetic) and then laser rifles.

There was no turning back after that. I'm still a rifleman now and I won't be giving it up.

I decided to be a Rifleman from Day1 of this game. Everyone else was all about using pistols and carbines, but i wanted something with power and snipe my targets from a distance. I've had moments of minor issues with rifles..but NOT once did i ever think about dropping rifleman. I will continue to use rifles and support them fully. I worked so hard working to Master Rifleman (non-grinding) that when i finally achieved that goal i was thrilled with the outstanding benefits.
