Yeah, I would agree...except the fact that the game has been out for a little over a month now.

The guys who took advantage of the jax's/kimos/langlatches/etc would have had plenty of time to raise their skills. I got lucky and the night before the patch my friend and I finally killed some kimos....my skill went from rifle expert to over halfway to novice rifleman in just one night. I'm sure that with a better gun than my trusty DLT20, those guys would level a LOT fast than I did. And I got that in only 1 night. Unless you consider the slow speed of the cat creatures an exploit...then I would agree 100%
