Good thing I made master rifleman from jaxes yesterday :x

By the way, I can spam strafe shot 2 as an AoE, which does 1000 every second per mob if spammed into the combat queue. And that's with my old DLT20a rifle that I've been using for the pastcouple weeks.

Unfortunately, it drains your mind pool like there's no tomorrow...

I watched the spiders and jax go at it. I was planning on seeing if could find spiders near the jax lair. Or just may check out talus.

Kind of stinks, because I didn't just kill hte lair and take off. I killed all the jax too as I needed the scout xp... But, they move a little too fast to do that "safely".

Also thoughs who thought of doing Spined Recluse Snakes dont, there XP was nerfed too. Those were my 2 back ups to Jaxes, and there gone.

What did the XP on the Snakes use to be? My friend and I (after finding out the hard way that the small cat creatures were faster than us now :-) decided to attack some of the snakes. I don't remember the exact XP numbers we were getting, but it was high enough. After I get home from work I will have to try them out again and see the exact numbers on the XP.

When you are making hunting suggestions, please include your approximate level of rifleman ability, because the amount of exp gained differs GREATLY depending on how far you are in to the tree.

Well, Jaxes can be our friends now.

Since they aren't aggro on sight, you can pull higher-level MOBs toward a Jax herd and try to get the Jaxes to occupy the MOB while you plug away in relative safety.

Sometimes it works and sometimes it does not. I'm still trying to figure out which MOBs the Jaxes will attack and under what circumstances.

I was lucky enough to come across a merek lair right next to a Jax lair and each pack was slugging it out with the others. Even the mereks werefighting amongst themselves. Since mereks don't appear to group aggro on you, I started picking off those with nary a scratch.

Not nearly as quick and easy as the pre-nerf Jax missions, but still a sweet way to get big XP.

I did this last night with some high level merek enemies... the bunnies kicked their butts. I felt so sorry for the wee little rabbits that I just couldn't shoot em anymore... then they saved my life after a red merek aggroed me. They're the best friends a rifleman could have... but be warned, the mereks will run when almost out of life and if they make it more than 60 some odd meters, you don't get xp for your kill.

Sorry I couldn't post sooner...Does the amount of XP you get reflect the level that you are currently at? I ask this because I am about halfway up to novice Rifleman (started a BH and then decided to switch servers and try something new).

Last night I was killing snakes again....anywhere from 600-1100, depending on which snake it was. The only thing I could think of was that maybe the higher you lvl the less xp you get. That would not make much since though because the higher you get, the more XP you need to lvl. Increasing XP needed while decreasing XP recieved would not make sense to me....But thats just my 2 cents, not actual facts.

I think you may be right.

At Master Sniper and Master Concealment, there's a lot of "newbie mobs" that are now worth 1 XP for me.

I spent last night with my guild at the Tusken Fort on Tatooine. That was about half the XP of Jaxes and about 100 times more fun.

Only problem with Riflemen, really, is our damage-per-second is so low, we get mugged for XP in a group when we have to compete with high DPS pistoleers and such.

The thing about decreasing xp is that my good old veermoks now are blue starred to me, but still have thousands of HAM points. As a rifleman 1/2way to expert, they can whoop my butt in about two hits and it still takes several HS3's to knock them out. There's a 50/50 chance NOW of me killing them, and my xp has dropped by more than 60% for killing them, down to below 500xp each for the big ones. What we're SUPPOSED to do is start attacking harder creatures to maintain our high xp gains, but the problem is that with our only stopping shots (suppression fire is bugged and warning/threaten are unreliable) not getting enemies off of our backs and with our "one kill shot" abilities being far from actually killing enemies (PvE) inone shot, that we indeed do have diminishing returns on our xp. Yet another reason to believe that all master riflemen are exploiters.
