I should have listed a cut off date. That will be Saturday Aug 21, 2004.
I will also be making a list of alternates. As we don't know yet when this will be, there is a possibility some wouldn't be able to participate on the given date, whenever we get that.
I suspect a date won't be chosen until after the summit. But as soon as I know and can tell you I will. I want to give you as much advance warning as possible.
Hmm, wow, wish I would have seen that, I just submitted mine, I guess I should straighten out my days and nights /sigh
This will be a day long rememberred, we've seen the end of the current combat system, and we'll soon see the end of the rebellion

I wouldn't worry about it TOO much. the hawtpants team from the Tailor profession will be there, and I know more than a few TC folks that will be banging the PvE code.
100% of players PvE.
a small number of players PvP.
while balancing the professions against one another is an important long-term goal, basic changes to HAM costs, buffs, armor, and the rest will keep us busy enough.
the real savior of PvP will likely be the space expansion... since balancing 'twitch' PvP is a lot easier than balancing a variable template of skills.

Yeah, 100% of PvPers PvE, even if it is only to PvP better, they still have to get money, and if they want better weapons, the loot to make better weapons. Or the money via missions to buy it, either way.
The Space Expansion won't "save" PvP, while twitch PvP balancing is easier, it won't be great for everyone, especially if there isn't any type of prediction code client side (like Half-Life does), because your latency will make a bigger difference.
The thing people fail to realize that are against PvP in the current system is that even if there weren't defense stacking, having <insert combat profession here>/doctor, cm, or other support profession would be more valuable in group PvP than <insert combat profession here>/crafter. No matter how much you complain about the current system there are ways to counter just about everything, can you do it in every battle? Prolly not. But the ability does exist, you may have to GROUP with someone, or people that you normally don't, but that doesn't mean you can't countera profession.
I'm there already. Other chars are WS and Smuggler so I can hook you guys up

For those that don't get onto the Sandbox but still want to do some testing. I would suggest starting a character on TC and getting them ready.
