You need 98 speed to cap a weapon with 7.4 attack speed on all specials.

You are already perfectly fine with 95 speed for weapons which fire at speeds between 1 and 5.6. You can calculate it yourself using the following link http://killyourpc.org/swg/swg_dps.php

at +97 your rifle speed modifier is .03

with an 8 second rifle firing strafe2, which has a 3.5 second modifier, you effectively shoot at:

8 * 3.5 * .03 = .84 seconds. you only need +97

8 * 3.5 * .04 = 1.12 seconds (this is +96 rifle speed.)

for those interested: to find out what your rifle speed modifier is, subtractrifle speed modfrom 100 and multiply by .01

I would not have corrected him if he were right

what about ranged accuracy? does this work as intended?

This is difficult to test and, as far as I know, no one has done so yet. I assume it works because that makes me feel better about having it I believe most people seem to think it does work though.

i havent noticed any significant effect. with so many of the other village trees not working, i have my suspicions that this tree is borked too.

Unfortunately with our accuracy mods at master it is hard to tell if +12 does much for us. The best test for this would be to have a none dodging (prefereably no combat defence)pvp opponent. now you need two shooters - both uncert'd using the same weapon at the same range vs the same target. one with the ranged accuracy and one without it... you would then need a min of 30 shots each (preferably more like 100 each) and then compare hit percentages

With +115 at ideal range for the DXR6 its obvious which weapon to use and 170 + 115 is 185 which should hit every time, even a defense stacker.

If you are still concerned eat a citrus snow cake and get additional 40 accuracy and you will be at 210 + 115 = 225. Of course you would have to kite your opponent. If you are to lazy to kite your opponent just hit /aim before you do your next specia. The delay is minimal and you will get (at master marksman) plus 35 from general aiming and plus 100 from rifle aiming which would equal 170 + 135 = 205 without citrus snow cake, 210 + 135 = 245 with citrus snow cake and 245 + 115 = 355 at ideal range with snow cake or 315 at ideal range without citrus snow cake.

You might want to swap your DXR6 with a Jawa ion rifle because it has -50 instead of -70 (DXR6) on point blank, if you are too lazy to kite.

(you will do more damage with your Jawa ion rifle against someone with 90 % acid armor anyway, even if your target has synthsteak, a 40 % stun PSG and a 40 % stun helmet and ranged damage mitigation III)
