I wonder why you were one starred for asking this, but anyhow, your answer:
- at master rifleman your speed will be 90, you will cap at 97 with most rifles (9.5 speed and lower) so you need +7 to cap
- the force sensitive ranged speed skill is currently bugged and does not give you the promised +12 speed, it appear the melee speed skill gives this now, but that should be fixed soon.

Its worth it to cap, which means getting to at least 97. The reason I say this is because the faster your speed gets, up to the cap the higher your damage per second will be. At 95 you will already be speed capped with many specials (depending on the rifle) but your highest damage area attack shot, strafe 2 will require a higher speed if you want to use your T21.

Personally I think every rifleman should do their best to speed cap with all specials.

Already being at 95 though, if you don't want to grind the FS Speed Bonus Tree just get a +2 Rifle Speed Attachment. Rifle Speed Attachments are on the rare side (because everyone wants one) but if all you need is a +2 it should not be that hard to buy or all that expensive. But if your funds are low spend the one skill point and get a +3 to your speed, its not that hard to get the FS xp.

This is difficult to test and, as far as I know, no one has done so yet. I assume it works because that makes me feel better about having it I believe most people seem to think it does work though.

From +95 to +97 speed, you will increase your DPS with SS2 by about 33%. You will alsobe firing Concealshotonce per secondas opposed to about every 1.1 seconds. Same for Surpriseshot(Our highest damaging single-target, random pool attack)

Edit: Oops, meant to quote darth_new on that

i havent noticed any significant effect. with so many of the other village trees not working, i have my suspicions that this tree is borked too.

Its not worth it to cap right now using FS Speed.

Get +7 in speed tapes and save the skill points.

no the fs skills enhance your speed...meaning they permanently buff your speed +12 so you CAN go over the limit with fs skills

What??

FS ranged speed works the same as tapes. Anything over 100 has no effect at all.

Right, the speed mod is a percentage reduction, so my definition a 100% reduction in speed would be all you could get, which then puts you at the 1 shot per second speed cap.

I should add however that I have heard the FS mods to defense do stack over the normal cap. So you could get a 125 ranged defense due to your normal template and add 20 to that with the ranged defense line.
