Only time where YOU would actually NEED cover in a pvp situation is if you are
A. You are sniping Turrents
B. You are just plain afraid of dying and wanna shoot till everyone else dies(Yah i seen that 1 before)
C. IF you wanna do about 1/2 the damge sniper shot does
There is no purpose for cover in a pvp situation I mean its a **edit**ty cloak the difference being ur enemy gets within 20m ITS GONE bye cloak
Only time i would ever CONSIDER using cover in pvp is if i know theres 4 turrents behind me that guarantee i can escape when they run over me because they will

Another time that Cover would be useful in a PVP situation would be if you were a BH trying to make a stealthy opening attack on a Jedi in the wild. You could lay in cover outside of radar range and crawl within attack distance.
..and before you actually have reached him/her the said Jedi have:
- Killed the lair
- Returned back to the outpost and trained.
- Hung out with his/her friends for awhile, gotten a new crystal.
- Took a ride to Dant, checking up on the DJM but decided against it before a full defense template.
- Gone back to the planet where he/she first were and gotten a new mission.
- Called his/her mother IRL
- Killed another lair...and another...and another...and another.
- Filled the Jedi defense tree.
- Crafted a new lightsaber called SyberPunk
.......not that the crawl speed is slow or anything......

Hover mouse over Cover and read what it says or go to ctrl+a click on it and read
it should say "Hides you from the radar BUT ALMOST ANY MOVE CAN BREAK IT"
HELLO of course its supposed to break devs will prolly NOT change that fact
I understand that, however, when a sniper is under cover, hiding from the enemy, why can't he carefully take aim??? This is what snipers do.
Ok you consider this its not hard do
/prone
(hit aim)
(cover)
(fire)
YES you can do that alll in the time it takes because its what i do

Ok guys here's the skinny on aim and how it works in SWG. You don't see what happens cuz it happens so fast.
When a rifleman aims at a target he yells at the target "Hey YOU! Stand still so I can hit you!". That's why the cover breaks and also explains why some MOB's beline/warp to your position after the first shot.
