I was Master Rifleman for a while after the CU and Aim used to take you out of cover back then - is this still true today?

Is it intended to break cover or is some sort of bug?

No, it doesn't break cover, you just can't aim while covered I think. It says "you can't do this in this state, you nuts, haha ha"...

Hover mouse over Cover and read what it says or go to ctrl+a click on it and read

it should say "Hides you from the radar BUT ALMOST ANY MOVE CAN BREAK IT"

HELLO of course its supposed to break devs will prolly NOT change that fact

I understand that, however, when a sniper is under cover, hiding from the enemy, why can't he carefully take aim??? This is what snipers do.

Isn't the whole purpose of cover to attack someone by surprise without them realizing where it came from? Your tactic doesn't seem like it'd work very well against anything outside of PVE and that isn't somewhere Aim is necessary. The main usefullness of Aim is to deal better damage to those PVPers with looping Duelist Stance, Center of Being, and Force Aura macros. If you ride right up on them lay there and then gointo coverI doubt they'll have a very hard time finding you.
