Thread: PETITION : Remove the 2.5x melee damage penalty for rifleman

It will take time to balance all the professions. i just hope the devs are aware of the imbalance so they can be working on it.
We all got into this profession knowing it would be very hard, often seeming unfair, the people who where unaware of this either soon came to realise or dropped the profession. Every rifleman ive met has had the same resilient nature and attitude that leads me to belive we will all be able to live with and adapt around the many many problems until they are fixed. Unfortunalty it seems we have no developers who play snipers, which often shows in the dev responses, but this means they will most likly eventually take on board our ideas. Keep throwing ideasat them, dicussing proposed features bad and good and we WILL get sorted out sooner rather than later.

Nothing else to add, except dizzy now last too short time, almost not worth to fire.

If any damage multiplier is to be applied at all, it should be that rifle weilders take less melee damage that other range weapon weilders.
If someone came at me with a knife and I had a rifle... with no ammo even. I could take them down so fast. Rifles aren't made of plastic. They are sturdy and built for heavy usage. The rifle was made to be superior to pistols... more powerful, LONGER ranged, more accurate, bigger clips, bigger better ammo. The only real advantage a pistol has over a rifle is that it can be concealed more easily.
Rifles aren't made of plastic either?!? I thought it was made by magic fairy dust that our Weapons Smiths like S&W, Beretta, blah blah, sprinkle into their crafting stations!... but someoen told me im wrong..
A suggestion to change it to 2.5x damage while prone, 1.5x damage while kneeling, and normal while standing was sent into the devs a while ago. This would ultimately fix our 2.5x damage we take, since usually by the time anything melee gets to us were up and running.
If I switch to my pistol when someone gets within melee distance do I still have that 2.5 multiplier?
I'm also a pistoleer, I think Rifleman should have some type of Melee Defense and not us Pistoleers. We are already pretty good at close in range. Last I remember, aren't bayonets attached to Rifles and not pistols? Would be pretty cool if Rifleman had some type of fixed-bayonet attack. Fall under 2-handed melee or modify the Rifleman track. It would balance you guys out for having only a 64m range.
