You obviously haven't been noticing the new patch, u know the one with the mega high ham NPCs, real good weapons, and all the specials

Don't think they could outdamage ONE rifleman?

I dont think you understand how looting works.

It is the most damaging single attack that wins the loot, in this case, your Strafe Shot 2 will be doing about 3000 damage, whereas the rebel NPCs are doing 500-1000 damage. Although I do not agree with methods like this, you will get the lootrights.

Well then there seems to be some confusion, as that was the way looting USED to work.

I have extensively tested the theory of yours on many scenarios and you do not get loot rights on single most powerful attack anymore.

If of course, you can provide an official thread explaining how the loot system works in the way you mentioned, be my guest and I will retract my comments.

I'm not saying I KNOW how the looting works in these scenarios, I am just sharing my experiences.

Did u used to be on Tempest? Ur forum handle seems familiar.

If you are ALWAYS able to get loot rights over a creature, why is it that when you approach something that stormies have been working on and is almost dead, you cannot get permission to access the corpse? hmmmmmmmmmmm?

I didnt think this was possible.

It isn't.

I think what happened is the group of rifleman that were attacking the Krayt decided to Bail inside a structure and it auto-healed. This guy just happened to see a Jedi come along and make the assumption.

it is possible, The Jedi admitted that he was doing it, kept removing dots and states healing wounds. Go ahead and read the post in Lowca forums, Took the group 3 hours to kill the krayt thanks to this jedi. I would post the link, but I am just too lazy.

Ok i didnt even suspect this is goin to be a matter of discussion

Firstly as a rifleman i got a feeling and a routine to ALWAYS USE ALL AVAILABLE RESOURCES

Wich meens Get some faction and drop down bases (im not talkin on base at least 2 u neeed for ancient krayts)

and for christs sake run if u see him closing on you

Thatsa bout what i do when i take on Krayts using NPC's to tank hopefuly you will improve the technique and make it even more easy for us

BTW i looked at combat log Most of the NPC's were makin about 500 damage except for high end ones they made approx 7k per hit Still LOOT GOES TO ONE LIVING PERSON THAT PARTICIPATED!

NPC's do not count in loot abilities cause if tey did id be largely overdamaged by them and i ALWAYS had the permission and i always looted. Did this about 20 times not and it was always my loot

Glad i could help guys

i believe him. Why???

Because Docs and Jedi healers can remove DOTS from ANY WEAPON ON DISPLAY IN A HOUSE OR BUILDING THAT THEY CAN ACCESS!!!

i tried to open a thread to warn my fellow rifleman, but it was deleted because "we don't want to tell the docs/jedi what they don't know already" : thranslated= "we don't want anyone to know that we have a serious F'UP in game"

i suggest everyone hide any DOT weapon they have on display. My MWS buddy who has been playing for over a year didn't even know about this till it came up on our server forum about a week ago! SOE doesn't want to warn anyone because then it would be revealed that they have yet again F'ed UP! so if you want to keep your 699health poison lance or whatever you have on display, i'd put it in a backpack and lock it up, or make your house private.

As one of the players involved in this I can tell with 100% certainty that it is possible. No matter how many states we threw at the Krayt, these Jedi would heal the state (poison mostly). It absolutely sucked. Just to counter your one assumption here, we had enough players that we didn't need to bail inside a structure. The Krayt was auto healing even when he wasn't anywhere near a structure at all. We had no less than 5 riflemen and several tanks, as well as a CM and a Master Doc.

Just to wrap it up, the main Jedi guilty of the griefing posted later admitting he did it.

er the NPC aren't grouped.... and it goes to the single person with the highest damage, and the fact that u can shoot continously at the krayt and the NPC can't

If it takes a hour to take a acient solo or with a med group. a group with a jedi a ranged and a melee, we were able to take acients down in bout 10 min. or so...

You guys do know that the devs will nerf this exploit very soon, probably with the next patch since it's not out yet. i mean planting bases is no different than planting harvesters was a while back. They are both exploits. Matter off fact I was on tc-ahazi last night and there where about 10 imp bases all over between mos oasis and the krayt graveyard....let me tell you, even with all the imp npc's, there were still many ancient krayts there and you are not safe. most of the time when your fighting one krayt, another spawns near or on top of you.....

Anyway, I don't like having all those imp bases out there simply for tanks.....I don't care if it were rebel bases either....I simply don't like it and I think it's an exploit. I wouldn't mind if the devs made that whole area a no build zone, afterall, no person in star wars in their right mind would build a house that close to where krayts live....Even tuskens stay away from them and tuskens will attack anything that moves with no fear....

So consider this exploit officially nerfed before the end of the week...hopefully.
