Thread: Elder trick? If not an exploit, explain to me :)

what does it do when you takecover? give you a better chance of not missing or something? (i know it normally gives +ranged defense...)

Swordsman can't solo Axcava or whatever her name is. She's 100% to blast, kinetic, and electricity (maybe stun too...). Basically she's imune to most every melee damage type. The only way to kill her is ranged, or pikeman with a NSEL (which you have to kill her to get)
Um swords is the best prof to kill the solo with in those cave her resists are 100% to all but blast and energy which are 25% although riflemen can do more dmg if they can keep out of range

My advice for solo'ing an elder - conceal shot as long as possible is she is on her own or with other NS you can damage, when you get agro'drun into spawns of pretty much anything (preferably yellow cons though) wait for them to get the agro off her them move 60m or so out hammering HS3 and just keep doing this. Has worked pretty well for me with a few elders - especially ones from the Stronghold, they seem to become really slow moving when you get a few 100m outside the Stronghold POI. If she is in a group of NS you can't damage them pull her wit ha bleed and then just do the above.
Riflemen close up with an Elder tend to die, even with good medic skills you end up Dizzy KD most of the time and when she stacks bleeds on you you spend so much time healing you can't attack her.
its not the distamce from the stonghold that slows them, ALL creatures and NPC have a limit on how long the run before becoming tired and walking after you just like PC's and burstrun, only lasts so long so keep away from her while she's running after you for long enough for her to tire and then just keep at about 40m doing HS3

It is not an exploit. I use conceal and Ranger camo which seems to help considerably. But don't ever think it will happen all the time. If you are going to conceal shoot her be ready to have your camo broken and have her spot you because this will happen a lot. But when it works it is sweet!

Is wrong just like any other NS she can be soloed by a swordsman, I cant remember her resists against blast but If my memory is correct its around 45% so she can be killed by a swordsman, have done so myself too many times to count, back when I was a swordsman.
