FACT: Average dmg for a rifle is significantly less than a pistol or carbine in any firefight: Ergo, rifles are significantly underpowered as a whole.


Possible Solution #1: Simple up the avg damage to equal the average total dmg possible of carbines and pistols. Remember, just because the pistol does less dmg per shot, that doesn't mean that total average dmg is less since they fire like buggers faster than you bat an eye.


Possible Solution #2(unless it's been implemented without my knowledge):DmgbonusagainsttargetsNOT wearing armor, while giving all rifles SOME armor piercing. Thebonus would be based upon the difference in armor level. For example, if I wear light armor against a heavy armor-piercing gun, the difference is two (since I might also wear medium and heavy). Thebonus would be an additional 50% per level: in this example, it would, thus, be 100% extra or x2 dmg. If I wear no armor against a T21 (hvy armor-piercing), I would take +150% or x2.5 dmg. Seems fair, no?

In theory, that code is in the game. However, Armor Piercing currently doesn't work in PvP if the target in question is not wearing armor or does not have a listing for the type of damage you are using. So currently, against an attacker that relies on Armor Piercing to cast damage, it's WAY BETTER not to wear armor. You don't incur the stat penalties AND you don't get hit with an Armor Piercing multiplier.

So, in essence, it's in the BEST interest of the Pitoleers to NOT wear armor against us, but we really ought to be wearing armor against them. So you NEED armor against light weapons and DON'T NEED it against heavy weapons. /smackforehead

If they would fix this like they said they would a long, long time ago, our weapons would suddenly seem more reasonable.

And personally, I think they need to re-think a few of our other weapon stats. The Tusken should be Kinetic, the Spraystick should be Acid, and the SG82 & Tusken should be sporting AP1. Otherwise, they are just slow, crappy Carbines.

Range mods on T21 have never been fixed!!! **edit**!!!!


Nothing cooler than the sniper title and not being able to hit **edit**...


Since they seem unwilling to draw objects out far enough to make a real rifle range, in addition to the damage and accuracy, my thoughts are that pistols should not fire beyond say 25meters and 45 for carbines. At least the couple of seconds it would take them to close the distance would give us a chance to miss again

Nope...I have not been getting low damage hits lately. When I take something I go prone..with mask scent, Then do my Mind Shot 2...get it above a 1k shot..then do Mind Shot 1..get it above a 700 shot. I am able to get 5 shots off without it charging me. Then I stand up and equip my bowcaster(since it 4.2 speed) and use warning shot...wait for it to run. The use a head shot. And just keep on doing that until it bleeds to death. In the last week I have had my Laser Rifle...the lowest hit I have had is 300. Highest hit is 3000. Even if I get a low hit...it only takes me 3 sec to get of another one. If I get charged for some reason...send in my pets.

Yeah yeah we get nerf so much it doesnt even matter anymore.


A Novice Rifleman shoots like my grandma while a Master Rifleman shoots like a gatling gun.


But wait a second, it takes a long time to get from Novice to Master and yet everyone is complaining about us.


About 96% people in this game are not gonna be a Master Rifleman so those that are Masters should have that ability to shoot fast with rifles. Yet Carbine and Pistol shoot so fast even at a novice level. So it all comes down to it. Give us the T21 back and leave our skills alone and let our damage cap still be at 1 sec and maybe even 2, but 3, you guys are pushing it.
