My pistol is one of the best in Starsider, sliced damage is 129 - 253, then I throw usually throw on a powerup for minimum damage which boosts to 160 - 253. I only use that one for PvP. The most I've been hit for is 153, which is what I can do with a max damage powerup. Chilastra must have some awesome weapons.

Good post, but you seriously need a better pistol.
I get hit for 250's by eyeshot as a pretty standard number. I do know of one guy who eyeshots for 350 in PvP, presumedly he either got some rare krayt tissue or it's that weaponsmithing exploit I've been hearing about.
The real problem with wearing a chitin helmet is that for a rifleman, whatever you save on being damaged you will lose on increasing the costs of your own shots.
