Thread: Riflemen nerfed again!? Please say theres a fix devs

this is awful i can barely take out white con creatures now. the damage here on bria is WAY down. my t21 rifle, 141-545. used to do nice 3k headshots all the time to tuskens. then today i log on, shoot a white con npc, and it does 600 mind damage. he charges me and i am knocked out right away. now i am lcuky if i get off a 900 headshot, whats the deal?

If the masters are nerfed that bad, then the novices don't stand a chance.

Armor effectiveness and armor percing is currently fubared since the latest patch...


they are working on it for a hotfix tho.

ok peoples here's the thing, for those of you that are new to sony MMORPGS, one thing you must learn, when the devs go a nerfing, they NERF hard. not saying that this is not a mistake, but I would no doubt that they intended for this. Just read all the posts on this forum, a lone riflemen talking about takeing out three stormies without any problem what so ever, others talking about droping insane mobs in one hit. If this is an intended nerf, seems it was aimed more at the high end of riflemen, but for anyone that played a monk in EQ and remembers the HELL nerf they pulled on them, this seems quite similar. they wanted to nerf the uber monks, and ended up screwing the low end monks to the point of them hardly being playable. Sony has it in their minds that just because this is a MMORPG, NOONE should EVER try and solo anything, they HATE people who solo, not sure why, but they do. So any class in any sony game that says they can solo and get great exp and have FUN, expect to get nerfed to hell and back. just my two credits from someone who has dealt with sony games for 3 years, I don't expect this "bug" to be altered much, give it a while and if they ignore it then know that the mighty hand of the devs hath nerfed thy class...

I think this is a known issue that they are fixing today. Read the hot fix notes. If they arent well then they are just plain stupid.


- Fixed a problem with player and creature armor that caused it to be ineffective.


That came from Q directly. Hopfully this fixes the AP probs with the new patch.

I was on Endor last night and did 2 lair missions, boar wolfcub and jax. The only way I could kill them was with bleed shots and warning shot them away. My headshots were saying there were hitting for 800 or so in the chat window but the mob would take no damage . I use an E11.


On the brighter side, overcharge shot1 seems to have been increased 40%. I don't have master marksman but overcharge2 must be real sweet now.

Well, I can tell you about novices.


Right now I'm 2.1.0.1 in rifle and on Endor I was hitting a white mob for 30-50 damage with head shot 3 and using the best laser rifle available on server now (404 max damage or so, can't remember min).


Best hit I got ONCE was for 250 damage. I was 3 hitted after that...

I TRULY think they could of gave rifleman more perks or they should beef the Riflemans skills im a riflemen,pistoleer,scout,medic and so far novice pistoleer is still better the advanced riflemen they should really fix that but im loyal to the rifle and i well keep at it PLZS SOMEONE UPGRADE RIFLEMEN ALOT

Yeah they increase OC shot2 as well per the patch notes.

ya Armor is still screwed....I can't do any missions anymore either. Before their hotfix armor didn't work at all...now it works, but only 10-15% of the time.


So I'll get shot 6 times for 300+ and my 65% composite armor will block it once....


That probably has alot to do with it.

Well, I can tell you that there IS something messed up with damage right now. Today I was shooting a layer on Dathomiir for, get this....12 damage. And that is with a 100-379 Laser rifle.....

Well, if you're talking about damage versus NPC targets, then my experiences are not the same as yours - I've been doing good damage again and loving it.



Hope they fix your server. Or maybe your certs are messed up - you're not getting messages when equipping your rifle are you?
