Thread: TH please consider this Rifleman change

The problem is that nobody does high damage in PvP after taking into account armor.

Currently its:
Rifle: low damage

Carbineer/Pistol: Pathetic damage

If they reduce armor to 50-60% after slicing, then Ranged users actually have a first strike advantage which they need against melee people.

As for Rifleman vs Melee, try to hide behind cover. I have both Rifle and TKA, and if I can't take another Rifleman head to head (when I don't have mindbuffs for instance), I will hide in a building or behind a wall and wait for him to come to me.

Melee already have a huge advantage over range and you want to make it worse.

You just displayed the real problem, and its not the rifleman

What be that?

Wait for the armor nerf.

That is the reason people say Riflemen is overpowered cause we have a Stun Rifle that hits the mind. But someone with a PSG, Stun Armor, Steak, and Melee toughness is still hard to harm. Even harder if they have a ranged profession. Its no the weapons that are over powered it the 90% armor that everyone walks around in and thinks to themselves "I should not be able to be killed by anyone if I do they are overpowered or are cheating" Attitudes people have.

I don't know if this has been suggested before, but please consider making the shots listed below contingent on akneeling or prone posture. This would allow the rifleman to still be the two part profession of heavygunner & sniper. Currently in game the sniper acc is spilling over to the heavygunner speed. This allows a rifleman to remain moving with a highly accurate mind pool shot. I believe changing these shots to posture specific will alleviate this inbalance.

/mindshot2

/headshot1

/headshot2

/headshot3

/snipershot

Thanks

Head shot is the only pool specific shot the rifleman has...............Think about that...All of the rest of the rifleman shots are Random pool damage and AREA attacks

Area attacks agro bad guys in places like the geo cave ect.

If everyone and not just riflemanis to lose mind hits these shots need to go after another specific pool

Rifleman need there Bayonet and buttstrok as well to fight mobs and players in melee range

Uh huh, and guess what, if you nerf the armor we die even faster while we STILL would do 1/3 your damage. The armor is not the problem, nerf it and we still can't compete because we just die faster. The problem is doing way less damage then riflemen, at SLOWER speeds until we get BH pistols, with FAR less accuracy (I'll miss a riflemen more at 64m then they'd miss me at 2m), and to be even close to a level that we can compete using pistols we have to use all of our points to offencively dabble leaving us 90% deffenceless to the Riflemen deffence dabblers (who, just by mastering riflemen, have as much offence as we can get from BH and smuggler, and a **edit** load more deffences so we could never hit them).

You people are bloody rediculous, ya, keep blaming buffs and armor until the cows come home, what do you get when you nerf buffs and armor accross the board? You get people with half the HAM they have now, with far less resists to your enormous AP3 portable cannon, anyone want to run a test to see how many shots 30% energy comp and a 1500 mind pool can take from master headshot? I'll just go out on a limb and say 2 (maybe 3 if the T21 sucks). That's 2-3 seconds of fighting. I'd love to see the uber pistol you come up with that can do 750 damage per shot in PvP to the mind pool, even with only 30% acid/energy resists there isn't a single pistol that can do it.

Oh noes, those 2 shots you'd need to kill us would REALLY drain that HAM pool of yours eh? Moron.

Wow, a VERY slow random pool attack (At master pistoleer with a DE-10, it's 2.75 seconds between shots). And still only with an AP1 weapon... look out for that powerhouse

And when there was no buffs at all and only Chittin armor (at like 15%) and before all the nerfs to pistols and before the buffs to riflemen, the game was fine.
