My original char is a master ws master smuggler and has been for a few months now, and slicing krayt or other high quality special comp weapons is the one thing in this game that really gets me going, either cursing, or shouting loud in joy lol. The ways of the slicing gods are mysterious.....
My latest horror story (i have many) was when i crafted a dxr6'b with krayt tissues : 99 dam speed -1.54 sec. I prayed dam dam dam and got speed 30%. So now i have a dxr6'b hanging on my wall instead of in my vendor with stats speed 2,9 max 468....that one really hurt. Probably one of the fastest dxr6'b's ever made, like that makes a difference lol. It would actually be nice if the speed of the weapon ment something to......
This is the main reason why i hunt for tissues instead of buying em.People buy good set of tissues for millions upon millions of creds. Seamingly unavare of the fact that 50% of all slices are speed ones,leaving their investment practically worth less, and that an average slice for a master smuggler is 25%. Meaning that if they get a dam slicethey will still get less for the finished weapon ifthey sell it than the cost of the tissues alone... Seen this several times even when they get a good slice (above 30%)If i sell the tissues i loot ,i would actually get more creds then i do when making the final products.But thats no fun . Considering what i have written above, i cant believe what people are paying for tissues .....Nemis

don't ya just love when you get crappy slices? It just makes me wanna throw my comp out the window. I bought a krayt scatter pistol with 273 max dmg and I get a speed slice on it!!! Can't remember what percent because this was over a year ago.

I disagree with the Krayt curse. I have been helping a guildie weaponsmith who has been making all kinds of krayt weapons lately. So far all of my slices have been over 20% with the best being a 33% dmg slice. BTW I just made my alt a rifle and just mastered the other day. I love the prof and have gotten alot of great ideas with the forums. Thanks alot.

I wish people would remember speed is not a bad slice - it is just not what you desired. A speed slice still makes the weapon better. Just not better in a manner you desire. Also please be thankful to the smugglers when you do get a slice even if it is not the one you want. They have no control over it and it is a service that they offer not a right you have.

2 krayt t21s one with 71 tissues the other with 58 tissues both got a nice 25% damage slice.
seems all my weapons get damage slices...

wish it was me..lol
i really want a 600+ t21 and a 600+ dxr... even if it means paying $ for them directly...but no such luck...meh..ill just get another anti decay kit..those r good a any time..lol

Ive got 3 krayted weapons in the last few weeks. one was a:
455 max 6.1 speed DXR
310 max 2.6 speed DE-10
375 max 3.2 speed DE-10
Two of the three were very nice slices. my slices got these up to:
588 max 6.1 speed dxr
310 max 2.0 speed DE-10
455 max 3.2 speed DE-10
Krayted weapons do not get better or worse slices, In my experience, its 100% luck. lucky me

600+? My T21 and my DXR-6b are both 700+. The resources must be BAD on your server.

Lol about a week ago i got 11 105dmg tissues and i thought to myself this would make a uber t21... Well i got 515 preslice was looking good then comes the sliceing part.. Got the almighty speed slice it never seems to fail... /cry

ya about 920 with a pup and a perfect slice /cry funny thing is i had a jawa sliced after the t21 35% dmg slice... 1 word Pwned!!

Oh God, where to begin....
Had a DE-10 pistol made with a set of +173 damage krayt tissue... lets hear it for a 34% speed slice.
While it was a damage slice, I got an embarassingly low 19% dmg slice on a Stun Baton I had made using a +310 max acklay bone, dmg went from 426 max to 507... yay.
Back in the day of dual enhanced weapons (feed mechanisms + power handlers) had a scatter pistol made with a +20 dmg high speed projectile feed mechanism and a +206 dmg -0.4 krayt tissue. Let's hear it for 15% speed slice. Max damage remained at 379, and I threw my unopened cube of mountain dew into my wall. It did not help the issue.
Looted an exceptional Long Vibro Axe off a NS Elder. Let's hear it for 25% speed slice. 2.8 speed, 806 max dmg, what a ripoff.
I have a bunch of 1.5 speed 173 damage max nym enhanced VK's that got speed sliced, blowing those enhancements as well. Got lucky on 2 slices though, for a 30% and 34% dmg though, netting me a set of 226 max and 231 max dmg vk's.
But, I like to end on a postitive note, just had a new Krayted T-21 made, got a massive damage slice on it putting it well over 600 damage unpup'd, completely redeeming my smuggler friend in the process.
We've all had our share of crappy slices, definintely, and it always seems to be on the best quality weapons. But, hopefully, with the up-and-coming, ever anticipated revamp, smuggler's might get some love too and be able to help us that make our living by shootin & lootin by selecting what they're going to slice. We can only hope, hehe.
