Why did he even put master marksman in there. Getting master marksman is a joke. Heres where its harder to be a rifleman then a BH, 2.5X damage from meele and NO knockdown.

I like the argument that BH should not get eye shot because it is rifleman speciality, because then BHs can target all the HAM pools.. Right..

Mind is rifleman spec, BHs shouldnt get that...
Action is carbineer spec, BHs shouldnt get that...
Health is pistoleer spec, BHs shouldnt get that...

What should BHs shoot at then?

They pay a LOT of skillpoints for this diversity!

They deserve it? No they don't.

So they had to get master marksman and master scout. Cry me a river. I took up novice medic, rifles in marksman, ranged combat in marksman, 2-handed in the brawler tree and 2-handed swordsman in addition to riflemen.

Riflemen are 1 hybrid class. I am TWO elite combat classes.

If anyone deserves to be hitting for high damage at a high rate, it's me.

These extra skills make me more diverse, and it's the same for BH's. A BH has Headshot1, Bodyshot1, Legshot1 and Suppression Fire, they have diversity, they do not deserve to trump the rifleman class on top of that.

How about extending rifles' range to 80m or 96m? That'll take care of that pesky Eye Shot ability......

Not to change the topic but i can spam headshot3 with my Spraystick at 1 per second...is this not the same or even better than the BH eyeshot??

True i eat up a Ton of mind doing it....that cant be healed..while the BH uses a stim then proceeds to shoot at me some more......

NM, guess i answered the question myself..

BH eyeshot should use mind...or all our rifleman should use action

If you really think Master Scout/Master Marksman is going to take you 8 or 9 times longer your on drugs... I took up scout for Exploration Tree, and am now just Survival IV away from Master Scout by accident! As for Master Marksman c'mon how hard do you think doing carbines and pistols is.

Also once you become a BH you climb 1 -edit- tree and become very good at your chosen weapon oh look 4 boxes of pistol I rival a master pistoleer, oh while I'm at it I do better mind dmg than a Rifleman through my action pool, and than lastly I could always get a LLC and 1 shot stuff.. yah fair right =P

Anyone that whines that becoming a Bounty Hunter is hard.. well.. maybe this isn't the game for you

I don't buy the argument that BHs 'deserve' eyeshot because they had to 'waste' skill points on Master Scout to become a BH. I responded to this in a similar thread in the Wanderhome forum. If anyone is interested (doubtful), they can findthe reasoning there.

However, leaving that aside for a moment, I do think it is reasonable to reaquire all special moves by all combat classes to have the predominate cost of their specials be drawn from the same action pool the move targets. In other words, HealthShot should have a heavy cost from. . .you guessed it, the health pool. Likewise, EyeShot should be drawn primarily from the mind pool.

There is nothing imbalancing about this concept because it would affect all combat classes equally. It's also a nice trade off that if I want to take some of your mind pool, I'll do so at the expense of some of my own (i.e., riflemen). Such a consistent tradeoff engenders a degree of strategy in shot selection. If I want to use specials that draw from pools I can quickly replenish via stims, I can only cause damage to your pools which you can also quickly replenish via stims. If I want to cause unhealable damage to you, I do so at the risk of leaving myself more vulnerable for a similar attack.

Currently, the costs of specials is driven more by weapon choice than special move selection. Programmatically it may beimpractical to cause a pistol move to be drawn from the health pool. However, if it is reasonable, such a rationalization would make a great deal of sense.

bounty hunters are master marksman (unlike a lot of riflemen) that means before they can even become a bounty hunter they are able to hit mind with a rifle, also a number of brawler attack can also hit mind. so give it a rest mind attacks are not the sole area of rifleman. personally i was very happy that i found eye shot so i could kill my target with that last shot.

If eyeshot required a BH to use a rifle would it still be bad?

What if it required a rifle and mind cost?

That would put it on par with the other BH special attacks. The pistol attacks would hit red, carbine hit green and eyeshot hits blue.

Personally speaking, I think it would be more constructive if we focused on our own profession rather than what someone else can or can't do.

Why was the T21 nerfed? Because others complained. Now they are complaining (as they have from Day 1) about mind damage.

You know what will happen if the BH loses eye shot? We will get nerfed and lose mind shots because we will be the only ones left who can do it and both BH and Commando will complain. Anyone want that?

For the sake of the class, let's have a moratorium on nerfing other professions. Please.

You guys should really worry about yourselves, if you get eyeshot nerfed, guess who's next?

On top of that. We are nowhere near as good as you at damaging the mind pool. Maybe compared to a midlevel Rifleman, but a master rifleman/master marksmen can generate INSANE mind damage, really fast. +95 speed? That **edit** near puts a T21 into scoutblaster territory as far as speed.

Bounty Hunter's can hit a target about the size of a 50 cent piece from 60 m without even thinking about it using a 1 handed weapon at a greater consistancy than a sniper using a two handed weapon aiming for a target the size of a bowling ball with great concentrationbecause bounty hunter's learned to make camp fires. Now this may not make a lot of sense at first, but let me explain. You see, once you've made a camp fire you do what everyone else does, and that is make smores. Now, upon eatting enough smores at your camp fire you attain a state of Nirvana, a popular band from the early 90's. You then take the hides and bones you've collected and form a rudimentary guitar and sound system. With that sound system and guitar the bounty hunter begins to play "smells like teen spirit", and given enough time that bounty hunter becomes an icon. Double clicking this icon opens the force sensitive slot. In this character slot is a force sensitive bounty hunter there by allowing the character to use the force and hit you in the eye. How do I know all this? It's straight from the developer's notes that I stole while taking a tour of their offices last week.
