More awesome info on killing NS and kenetic vs energy..
Seems I'm getting mixed signals, however, some say they can do it, others not.
My next question is ...
Does the Singing Mountain Clan drop the same loot?
Seems like the best loot in this game comes from the Nightsisters.
Thanks for all the great info!!
Good shooting all..

Regarding the information on Kinetic.
Inbooks on the weapons of Starwarsand in other games, the Tusken Rifle isa kinetic style damage. Essentially, it is a conventional rifle firing bullets. And for a short time in beta, the Tusken did apparently do Kinetic damage. However, Rifle has almost every other damage type there is, and melee professions have only Kinetic and one other damage type (e.g., Swordsman: Kinetic and Blast). TK is an exception in that they currently have only Kinetic. Therefore, the developers decided that Kinetic damage would be the domain of melee. The Striker Pistol is an exception in that it is a ranged weapon that does Kinetic damage; however, it is so weak that it barely counts.
Therefore, the Tusken rifle was changed to Energy damage a long time ago, and it will not likely be changed back. No weaponsmith can make you one that does kinetic damage. The only exception, and what may confuse people, is that the Tusken King rifle, a loot drop, I believe, still does Kinetic damage. However, like the Acid Rifle, no one has a certification for it, so you do virtually no damage with it even as a Master Rifleman. Note: When I say Acid Rifle, I am not talking about the DXR6b but a weapon called "Acid Rifle" which no one has a cert for.
The bottom line is that Riflemen can not kill Nightsister Protectors, Nightsister Stalkers, or Nightsister Spellweavers if their only profession is Rifleman. These types are immune to all damage types that we have weapons certifications for. You could, conceivably, kill them with a Tusken King rifle, but you had better bring a lunch and a Doc, because it is going to be a long, painful experience.
It used to be that you could kill them even as a Rifleman. Before the bleed nerf, bleeds would ignore armor and resists. So you could hit them with Mindshot2 and Mindshot1 and simply avoid them until they bleed down to one point of mind left, then pull out a Striker Pistol or any Kinetic melee weapon even if you do not have certifications for themand kill them with one shot (because any hit that did damage would do at least one point of damage to mind). But now bleeds are so nerfed that even if you could do bleed damage to them, it would take forever to bleed them down to one point of mind. So that technique is gone now.
But the absolute truth is that you cannot do kinetic damage with any rifle that Riflemen have a certification for. The Tusken King is the only kinetic rifle, and no one, even a Master Rifleman, has a certification for it, so the damage you can do with it is minimal.

- NS Riflemen can kill: Initiates, Outcasts, Rangers, Sentries, Rancor Tamers, Sentinals, & Elders.
- NS's 100% resistant to energy, stun, acid, cold, heat: Protectors, Spell Weavers and Stalkers.
Nightsisters roam in groups and are often mixed crowds of gals that you can kill and gals you can't. As kezia said, we have no kinetic or blast damage weapons, so you will either need some melee skills or will need to stay away from those that are 100% resistant to our damage types.
For taking elders, novice medic (stim B's),novice brawler (stacking intimidate), and a T21should be enough to allow you as a master riflemen to go toe to toe and headshot3. If you don't have novice brawler for intimidate, you will not be able to tank against an elder unless you have some doc skills and the ability to use heavy stims. It is possible though to take out elders with just rifle skills - as was stated above you can using concealshot. If you're speed capped, using damage sliced, and powered-up T21's you can kill an elder in about 15 minutes using conceal shot.
Recently I've been killing a lot on nightsisters as I'm looking for some SEAs.Some of my loots in the last couple of weeks include: 278 mind fire lance as well as probably 100 more lower level health/action/standard dot lances and LVA's, over 50 force crystals, tons of heavy duty leather and heavy duty clasps, a modded/dot rykk blade, and a health dot laser rifle. My best loots from NS in the past have been a+12 food assembly tape and a +5 rifle speed tape. I'm still holding out for that "legendary" or "exceptional" T21 to drop.
Happy hunting.
I use TKM to kill NS NPC's I'm TKM going master rifleman + master brawler.
