Thread: I just got pwned repeatedly by a commando.
Fair anoth i aggree comandos should hit HARD but i not so sure if they hit slow most commandos i seen shot farly quick

So maybe after speed patch they will shot every 5 seconds i dont know but if rifleman doesnt hit as hard as you no way in hell we should shot slower.
Anyway leave up to devs i am sure they are aware of majority of the problems i just do not like the solutions they come up with.

We can shoot quite fast with our normal shots, I myself has a 3.5 speed flamer, hitting every 3 seconds. The specials have a recycle of 8-10 seconds.
The 2.5dmg modifier is also applying to our normal shot, thats why we seem so strong against rifleman, if they go prone its over in one hit.
When the devs fix this, commando rifleman will be a very interesting matchup. If you keep us at range, we are dead, if we can come close, you are.
One of the most interesting match up of the game I think.
I shouldn't have to wear composit armor to avoid one-shots from a commando.
In fact, we can't. The mind cost is so high that, as a zabrak with maxed stats weraing composit armor, I would get three or four headshot III before I have no mind whatsoever.
And, after putting on all that armor, and a PSG, and not going prone or kneeling (which makes it almost impossible to hit). IF I manage to hit the guy, I only hit him for 250, with a special attack on a 450dmg weapon.
Lets review that one step at a time.
1) I have to cover myself in steel. Now I self-incap.
2) I have to buy a PSG. In fact, now I have to buy multiple PSGs, because they wear out so quickly.
3) I can't go prone or kneel. The result of that, of course, is that I can't hit crap. Why can't I hit crap? Let us go off on this tangent for just a moment.
a) As previously stated, I'm standing streight up like n00b trying to pick an apple.
b) He is running towards me. In a second, he is within 40m of me, and then the problems multiply.
4) back to the point. IF I get lucky as all hell and manage to hit him, I do so for 250 dmg. 250 dmg from a 450 dmgAR3 weapon useing one of the best specials available to a novice rifleman.
5) IF I manage to hit him, Great! Now I have to hit him again. With a powreup, the pre-nerf T-21 is still a 8.7 sec gun. (It isn't the best gun, but the point stillstands) Now I have to get uber lucky again. and again. and again. At least four hits. That takes a minimum of 34.8 seconds. Meanwhile, he is hitting me for 1.4k (assuming the bug is fixed) every 3.5 seconds.
I have nothing, repeat, nothing against commandos, so don't take it this way. All I am saying is this is crap. Absolute crap, and things need to be fixed. Our correspondant is doing good, and if the Devs listen to him and us, I am shure things will get better.
I will hold my breath.
I suggest making an alt for pvpuntil they fix the melee dmg thing with heavy weopons. With the amount of people playing commandos and BH it just is'nt fun getting 1 shot left and right. Prolly won't be near as bad once they finally fix their weopons.
I dont have problems with them. I kill more then I die to. Do I get 2 shot from them? Sure, but my template matches up perfectly against their very poor accuracy.
Still doesnt change the fact that SOE needs to change heavy weapons to ranged damage. It is such a obvious fix I am just shocked that it has not been.
Rifleman as it is right now is a top of the line PvP profession if you dont recognize that it is your loss.
